already IMF OPENLY asking FED to DELAY interest rates hikes. and you want 2 hikes this year ?

look at how the supreme Li Ka Shing offered such a straight fwd good premium offer and deal to acquire O2 from telefonica.

with all due respects to the Great Mr Li Ka Shing, Mr Li Ka Shing is a Great Man. From my heart. Even our Govt think so i think.

Just feel that if we are French now, perhaps things would be better hehe : ))

PCCW is now trading at PE less than 10. In Telco norm, this is unusual and highly under-valued.

Alibaba should know too. Great assets (TV , PAY TV, Free to Air ) in this Gem. 

Hutchison Telecoms should know too. PCCW is market leader in HK. Even Hutchison Telecoms come 2nd ONLY.

Our Temasek Funds very cordial with Li Ka Shing . Watsons deal. Li Ka Shing also very nice and cordial to us. 

HONG KONG - Asia' s richest man Li Ka-shing announced Friday that a Singapore state investment fund had agreed to buy just under 25 percent of his flagship retail chain, in a deal worth more than US$5.6 billion.

Singapore' s Temasek will purchase 24.95 percent of A.S. Watson - part of Li' s vast Hutchison Whampoa conglomerate - for HK$44 billion ($7.2 billion), a Hutchison statement said, calling it a " strategic alliance" .

Watson had " grown internationally in the past two decades" with more than 10,500 stores worldwide, the statement said, adding that the deal valued the retail chain at HK$177 billion.

The announcement came as a surprise as markets had expected Watson would be listing in Hong Kong and London by June, in what could have been the world' s biggest initial public offering since late 2012, predicted to raise $6 billion.

But in light of the new deal, Li said the listing would be " unlikely" this year and that it would now be pushed back by two to three years, without explaining further.

He also said that the company would be listed in two places - but not London.

" I am now thinking that it would be in Hong Kong and Singapore," Li said of the possible listing locations.

He said that the Temasek alliance was a quicker way to raise capital than the listing process.

" The reason to list is to raise capital - the way I do it now is faster, what' s bad about that?" he told reporters at a press conference after the deal was announced.

" They (Temasek) liked it so much they offered us 25 percent, then Mr. Li said one investor is better than an IPO," Hutchison group managing director Canning Fok said at the press conference.

PCCW Teleservices US Inc. reached a deal this week to provide support functions to Airbnb, the quickly growing San Francisco-based website that allows people to rent out homes and apartments to travelers.
 


&ldquo (Airbnb) is a brand new client of ours, which we&rsquo re very excited about,&rdquo PCCW President  Dave Shapiro  told me. &ldquo We&rsquo re going to be one of their key suppliers in terms of customer experience. We had to compete with literally 15 other major organizations, many much larger than us.&rdquo

PCCW, which this week earned an  Ohio tax incentive deal  for its expansion, expects to hire 25 employees at a time in waves until about 175 total are added by September at its 52,000-square-foot space at 5200 Rings Road in Dublin.

I think this counter has alot of room to go up like the other two that I was eyeing previously it looks like innovalues and fuyu in the early days, therefore I think the outcomes should be quite similar.

 Alert Admin 		Looks like PCRD, like other stocks on SGX, affected by the macro events of Grexit threat wild swings +/- more than 5% weekly in the Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges and Hong Kong political uncertainty. The downside PCRD price movement is back-stopped by the share buyback at $0.46. The underlying fundamentals of the PCRD's assets like PCCW and HKT are expected to perform very well especially with the continued improvement in profitability with the integration of CSL into HKT. Furthermore with the growing and maturing of the PCCW Media and PCCW Solutions businesses, it will add to PCCW's financial performance. PCRD, PCCW, HKT and PCPD are expected to be reporting their 6 months financial performance and dividends payout from 8 August to 13 August 2015. So stay tune to sustainable share price performance for PCRD but not expecting any dividends to be paid. Vested.😀 .
