just a reminder - remember to double check the no. of shares you own before selling, else might end up short-selling the counter by accident. |

Yes, your method is the correct way. Still, no matter how we try to mitigate, it will still be a loss. On hindsight, shareholders are better off without the EAO exercise.

So coincident my avg price ard 21c too.
I think the realised gain for 3400shares should be 3400*(0.315-0.205) = $374 And if u dispose the bal of 96,600 at 0.191 then realised loss will be -$1352.50+$374= $978

I was  alloted a pathetic 3.5k shares out of 100,000 shares I am holding, which means 3.5% Mathematically. 3500 x 0.315 = $1,102.50 If I sold off market @ 0.191, 3500 shares would fetch $668.50 So, that means I got a nett gain of $434 (in lieu of a so-called special dividend) BUT, based on the principal sum, I lost $2068 due to this exercise. (my ave price of my 100 lots is $0.205, that is lower than the price when the EAO was first announced) Overall, loss is $2068 - $434 = $1,634 (I' m sure, all of us suffered losses too) And base on the date when the EAO was announced till today, most of us lost money, and that is supposed to be a " REWARD" for shareholders. Pathetic kind of stunt pulled off by incompetent management who naively thought it was a great idea. |

Sorry, my bad. I just logged into my CDP and the shares are back. This is really messy until the stockbrokers and CDP also don't know how to react. I got 3.63% shares sold back to the conpany.

I don't think anyone can be certain how many of their tendered shares are sold. This is based on my understanding from the CDP officer who told me that balance shares which are not sold will be credited back to our CDP accounts around 17 Jan (indicative date).

Looking through all the comments and I think all bro and sis are very lucky to have sold all your holdings during the EAO. I've tendered all 50k lots and last checked my CDP where only 700 shares sold?! Not even the minimum 3.4% as promised $ @4$ & really disappointed, my worst investment ever

Strange thing is, I was not aware that my DeClout shares have been taken away.. Normally, through SGX CDP notifications via SMS, I would be notified of any movement of shares. Not for DeClout shares, and I don' t even know when was it effected. |

Why does the CEO have to resort to this? The price didn' t move either. Eventually, market will decide it' s value. As they always say, the water level will eventually find it' s mark.

DeClout really owe us this clarification. At least a reminder not to accidentally short-sell our shares. What do we expect? Sloppy management again!

I think it' s a brilliant move by the CEO. The reverse rights offer forces people who are longing the stock to play safe by not selling until the results are out, and reduces the amount of shares on the market. The only people who are playing the shares right now either have too much shares (or fresh money) on hand, or are speculating. However the question now is whether the offer was fair for everyone since most likely you will end up with odd lots, unless they are generous, which I very much doubt at this point in time.

I just went to CDP. Think AttasBoss' broker is right. For those of us who tender all our shares, the balance shares (if any) will only be credited back to our CDP account on 17 Jan (indicative date). Best for all here to check your CDP account before you trade.

You have a point. That means those shares in the market traded now are those that are not tendered for the exercise. They could have temporarily suspend the counter if that is the case. Wondering any breach of listing rules? Something like min 20% of all shares must be public owned.
