I will pay more attention to how Temasek reaction to this offer by the Chinese whos obviously trying to buy a competitor at a steal. If the offer lapse, Temasek still holds 84%.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Some of the questions need to be answered by Temasek if it decides to sell to JCET. Firstly, if they sell minus taiwan at 0.452. Then how much is the Taiwan business worth? Secondly, will they be able to sell off the Taiwanese side after selling.to JCET. It's disappointing to know that it will reopen tomorrow cos there are still many questions unanswered. More time should be given to clarify the whole matter.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	This is politics. China do not want to invest in Taiwan as they still consider it a renegade. Also they can' t deal with the more vocal Taiwanese. Remember this industry need high CAPEX to constantly upgrade but I doubt so if STAT already have the intention to sell-out.. Another point is such industries in Taiwan are not valuated very high so shareholder must be careful moving forward if the deal is cut which should be ready anytime.
