This is common sense. You get "full entertainment" almost free on the internet. 2. Film making are like "lottery biz". Maybe out of 100 films, you get a jackpot. But MM2 how can fight with big budget production houses ? Even so, say Hollywood spent $100 mil on a film, after release, days later, it is all over the internet. 3. Yes , once a while, we go cinemas to watch movies. To get the nostalgic feel. But only once a while. In the 80s, i went cinema almost every week. Now ? I think more than 1 year i havent gone cinema already. 4. Covid crisis Fewer pple will go watch movies in cinema due to covid. 5. Rental costs not cheap in malls where cinemas occupy as tenants. So , why invest in cinemas ? I think GIC vested hundreds of mils in Indonesia cinema chain. I really dont understand why they did that.
