Also, the proceed from the sales of the 5% stake is not to save Keppel, but into a contigency fund to pay off any potential legal liabilities of Keppel offshore and marine. The bigger issue is that if Keppel share price continue to drop, many might be tempted to sell their zero cost Seatrium shares to buy more Keppel at cheaper prices. By my estimate, about 5-10 billion Seatrium shares might be liquidated in such scenario.
