YZJ return is stable with PE lower but PB 3 times higher (YZJ PB about 2.5, Seatrim PB 0.8 now), Seatrium is turning around and upstrend. YZJ has better margin rate now, Seatrium is clearing those low margin legacy by 2024 and targeting better margin projects. YZJ is better right now if you looking at dividend only, but future what if Seatrium margin catch up with YZJ? Will they have similar PB?

Bottom line - YSJ delivered > $1b net profit. Seatrium delivered $34m in one half, maybe $100m full year. So if we go by profit alone, Seatrium' s market cap should be 1/10 of YSJ. I am vested in both.

If compare before consolidation current price only 0.075 cts, that's super cheap. At least shld go 0.10 cts and above , that will be $2 after consolidation

The main difference is Seatrium is bashed by Car Was Operation since 2014, oil slump since around 2015, and since around 2017 is in the red. YZJSB has performed well in years, so investor confidence is stronger.DOYDD

Market capitalisation of Yangzijiang is around $10 billion and Seatrium $5 billion. Order book of Yangzijiang is around $22 billion and Seatrium $26 billion. Yangzijiang specialises in building container ships, bulk tankers and oil tankers mainly in China whereas Seatrium is specialise in oil rigs, FPSOs, energy platforms, renewable and new energies and have shipyards in US, Europe, Asia and South America. Does Seatium deserves a market capitalisation half of Yangzijiang when it has started to produce profits from its operations. |

Net debt at 30 June 2024 increased to S$1.8 billion from over S$0.7 billion at the end of last year mainly due to increased working capital needs for ongoing projects. In 1H2024, Free Cash outflow was S$1.0 billion mainly due to working capital needs for ongoing projects We have adequate liquidity with more than S$2.5 billion of cash and undrawn credit facilities as of 30 June 2024. So conclusion- likely no rights issue. Can TONG until delievry of P78 next year. |

I think $2.5 billion is for cash on hand plus existing undrawn credit facilities. Also, Petrobras is supposed to wire $1.1 billion (10% downpayment) cash over when P84 and P85 start work.

The positive is that rights issue is likely out of the question. I was a bit worry Shit5e2 might need to call for a rights issue as the 5 mega FPSO new built projects will need about $2-3 billion of working capital. With the credit facilities secured in recent months, my fear is allayed. The credit facilities should allow them to TONG until the delivery of P78.
