Sanctions are Acts of War. Yesterday the US & European politicians were racing to outdo each other in openly threatening to strangle chokehold Russia. They were being very careless. They cannot simply do that without expecting a serious blowback from Russia. Now Russia retaliate with a game of nuclear chess in which everyone looses.

US failed to learn from history - WW2. How did they force the Japanses to invade APAC. If US and EU force Russia to a cornor which they are doing now, it will lead a road to no return. Russia has to react, just like the Japanese. Russia' s threat on nuclear should not be taken lightly. |

Agree. Despite the high risk of being arrested, the US allow him to negotiate. Its a sign that the Russian nuclear warning is being taken very seriously by the US/Eu. They fear a market meltdown that will see billions capital wiped off as how Russian markets suffered. Putin's nuclear precipice is having an effect to persuade a negotiation towards ceasefire.

BREAKING NEWS: UKRAINE AGREE TO TALK WITH RUSSIA
Yesterday Pres Zelensky offered to negotiate with Russia. But the US stopped him from doing so. Instead, Pres Biden announced he will pump in a quarter billion dollars weapons aid to Ukr. & a slew of sanctions. Is the US interested in peace with Russia? Pres Putin upped the ante & gave orders to place nuclear deterrent forces on high alert. This is happening while Russian troops are closing in on Zelensky. A while ago, Pres Zelensky made a U-Turn & agree to negotiate with Russia. Putin's nuclear warning to the West to let Zelensky negotiate with Russia, is working quite well. |

As Russian forces make headway, the Psyops information war is also heating up. We are getting many conflicting news which contradicts reports from the ground.
Russian forces have taken /surrounded several towns & cities in the north, east & south, and surrounded Kyiv. They are taking their time to allow civilians to flee, sending in reconnaissance teams & negotiating with friendly commanders, before launching a full scale attack. They want to minimise civilian casualty & infrastructure damage. This is why they have not destroyed the electrical grid, water supply, cell phome towers. They are also taking time to allow as many Ukr troops to surrender so that these can be reconstituted into a new army later to keep the peace in a post-war Ukraine. These negotiations & manuvering are misinterpreted by Western observers as "Russian defeat". Keep in view that Russia learnt urban warfare by liberating over 1000 towns & cities from Nazis in WW2, Chechen wars, Balkan wars, Georgian and Syrian wars. |

Russia said that it wants to disarm & denazify, but NOT occupy, and that it has had 8 years to prepare militarily & economically for this operation.
The West has to be seen doing all it can to assist Ukraine, and therefore we read the news of money, arms assistance & punitive waves of sanctions from US, Europe. But for all intent, the Ukr armed forces is decimated & the small arms assistance will have little effect to reverse course. The sanctions & SWIFT cut-off come with fine printed exceptions - only some Russian banks & not all industries affected & it excludes payment for Russian oil & gas. Otherwise, Europe will literally freeze. Sadly for Ukraine the outcome is more or less predictable. And that's why yesterday the US offered to airlift Pres Zelensky out of Ukr because he is the head of the government Russia deemed pro-Nazi. When this operation is completed within days ahead, Russia will withdraw to the Donbass which has been declared independent & no longer Ukr territory.
