Thanks to Fataaa, we have another piece of evidence that minority investors are absolutely being ripped off. Perhaps what we can do is to post these and more info in other websites until we can reach a critical mass of info to show, not to the toothless SGX, but to the world. | ||

China Hongxing (" Big Shit" ). This is the seasonal busy shopping period in China and I happened to be in 6 different cities in two provinces over a two-week period from mid-Jan. Surprise, surprise ... Big Shit' s (China Hongxing' s) Erke is really a nice brand. The apparel is modern, attractive, superior in quality and priced attractively relative to the top Chinese brands. I' m in the retail business by the way, so I have a tiny bit of authority when I say Erke products look good. Another surprise ... there are people buying. The crowd in Erke' s store is indistinguishable from those of the other top brands. In fact, I begin to notice people wearing Erke jackets and shoes in the trains and subways. And these people wearing Erke' s products are young working adults. Another surprise is the Erke building. It is next to the building of The Peak (HKSE-listed and delisted last year) in Xiamen in a location pretty much like our MBFC in Singapore. In fact the various tall buildings in this area looks very much like the tall dark glass buildings in MBFC. It is about 200m from the beach. Wow. I was told the buildings are at least RMB1b each and no one is selling. The Big Shit hasn' t published any annual report for ages so I can' t tell if the billion-dollar building belongs to the poor shareholders. Nevermind. It will go to someone else anyway. And for those who didn' t know, the Chairman of the Big Shit until recently, Mr Wu Rongguang, is a member of the Xiamen 人 大 (people' s representative congress), which a very high level position. Another surprise is that if you go and search for the ex-Chairman of Big Shit in baidu, you will get a writeup of him and of course about Erke. BUT YOU WILL NOT KNOW THE BIG SHIT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED IN SINGAPORE FOR YEARS. And so us poor shareholders will never know how we end up shitting until our bone marrows came out of our body. There is no recourse. Because this is SGX. History will repeat. | ||

Something is definitely not right for China Hongxing. I seriously think the financial statement presented is cooked, and they just revamp their website. I seriously think Denis Wu want to buy over the business and suddenly the company result will become damn good and start to earn money. Even at this stage, its very obvious there are alot of fraud dealing in the company. In the recent SGX enquiry about their results, its very strange they have increase cost in renovation and salary when the company is doing so poorly and shutting down so many outlets. In addition, they dare not disclose the list of customer that they are still dealing with and have bad debts being written off. I wonder if the authorities or someone can go and check the company operation in China. | ||
