Consumers' response to high inflation and increasing interest rates will hopefully start to stop/bring down high inflation. Firstly, nobody wants to pay higher and higher prices.  Secondly, demand and thus high earnings by Samudera will be more sustainable if inflation is brought under control. Runaway inflation will eventually kill all demand and businesses. Bringing down inflation will no doubt reduce growth. But even if there is no further growth in demand, or there is slight drop in demand, there is enough sustainable demand for Samudera to continue to make handsome profits. What investors would want is the ' continue' part. And the sooner the US markets drop to levels low enough to reduce inflation, the sooner we get over the pains and start to see market recovery.  These are my humble opinions. Please ignore my post if you don' t like them.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Not a company specific issue. Almost every counter in the market is dropping. A few options: 1) Join  the panic sell and buy back later at a lower price. (If a lower price is there and if fear does not stop one from buying back.) 2) Just sit back, eat kacang putih and watch the market drop and recover. And collect the next dividend. (Btw, I already finished a 300g packet of kacang putih in 2 days.) 3) Get ready your war chest, wait for the market to bottom out, then buy at bargain prices. Again need to wait patiently to bottom fish. (I have 2 more packets of kacang putih. Can restock at NTUC while offer is still on.)

Curious and eager to see how good the H1 actual profits is.
