As part of Green Plan 2030, I think we all agree that public transport pie will increase and private car ownership will decrease. Whether it is MRT, bus, cab, PHV or unmanned taxis, CDG has a stake in it.
Wrong impression to only think of CDG as only cabs, which you always allude. Fewer people can own cars especially with the high COE prices, and those who can afford to buy cars likely need not work as PHV driver.

Guru I am not so optomistic. Taxi as a whole is on a 20 year slow but painful decline since the first PHV company (Uber) came to Singapore in 2013. The slight incrrase in taxi numbers you saw was a dead cat bounce caused by the 'Covid Re-opening'. By 2033, taxi will be 100%% displaced by PHVs unless something very drastic happens along the way.
This is a world-wide trend. Not limited to Singapore Note : I am not vested in any PHV company

Based on LTA stats, for the month of Jul, only Comfort and City Cab have increase in fleet size. Both are run by ComfortDelGro. All other operator fleet size continued to decline.

our uncles and aunties clever ones. play with strategy. after my uncles and aunties & me finish SMG, then come here to see again. always remember to find urself a good weapon or many good weapons, then u can win more easily. bbs just wan to give u reasons to buy or sell...think this time may be yesterday night inflation report. but just stand one side to watch first. if interest hike 0.75 or more, then be careful many stocks may be affected. if itchy, try to play small. reserve more bullets for end next wk. as long as never see their reasons, then dummy play still ok, it will be a plus if u have good weapons (low low commission, good trading pattern, timely news, and many others) best weapon is still can play with others $$$$ and get " commission" like " fun" managers. |

If you dont see the price dropping, they are still selling. You can see they have been holding 1.38 to sell 1.39 for the whole of last week and today. If you FOMO but dont buy 1.39 instead queue at 1.38, be careful they dump at you.
Yesterday they pump and dump. Many uncles were trapped. Who were the BBs? Go read Bro Big Braggart's post. Are they Saints or Devil? The pump will not repeat because those Saints wont let you dump back at them

18th is Sunday.
So for those BBs that need to sell due to the STI index change of constituents, is it 16th Friday late afternoon is the last day for them to sell or is it 19th Monday is the last day for them to sell??! |

Bro Big Braggart good to see you post so that I dont have to talk to myself.
Last week the main transactions were done at 1.38. Who sold? Who bought? I believe it was BB net sell and tetailers net buy. Be aise most of the transactions were by BBs selling buying with himself using multiple accounts to lure the retailers to buy, the real transactions were not much. As the BBs jave sold some at 1.38, he wouldnt mind to build a buy queue at this price to sell 1.39 today. Based on the sell high buy low principle, if BBs did sell 1.38 the last 6 days including today, price will drop next week (this werk the same pattern will continue because BB still need to sell). Notany uncles ate still playing this countee. My definition of retailers' hence include smaller BBs like those small securities firms. My personal view only. I may be wrong. But 'know yourself amd know your opponents, a hundred battles a thousand victories'.
