The plant is losing big money, this means that you need to have a turnaround plan from day 1, if not there is high chance that the buyer might lose money after the  purchase for next  20 plus years. With so much competitions, energy market is unlikly to recover soon and water price is locked down by PUB for the next two decades. 2. The three highly profitable GLC linked companies are listed and the managements are accountable to their shareholders and the government. They are well paid and why should they want to involve in this kind of mess  that may endanger their careers unless the plant is super cheap or free.          3. Depending on the development, There may be a chance that the bank may reposses and auction off, why don' t wait until the auction and get the deal at a small fraction of the cost? why in a hurry to buy a hot potato  that is not profitable?  4. Also need to look into the filteration technology at the plant, is it proprietary or not, you may lock down by their technology after the purchase, how are you going to resolve it? guess PUB probably won' t allow you to stop for a day. .  UltraBoy      ( Date: 01-Jun-2018 10:34) Posted: You guys are dreaming......... BillionX      ( Date: 30-May-2018 19:18) Posted: Critical to Hyflux reorganization and survival is to generate positive cash flow.The company is highly geared and it will be a challenge if the company can contain costs without hindering business.Must get back to basic and get rid of distractions such as the ELO business.Tender for projects but engage partners to build/own .Water Treatment is highly competitive but still profitable.

Expect the expected.    Observers      ( Date: 31-May-2018 21:43) Posted: ST Engineering&rsquo s Marine Arm Forms JV with Tuas Power to operate and maintain desalination plant  This JV company is set up to undertake operations and maintenance of Singapore&rsquo s fifth desalination plant on Jurong Island for a concession period of 25 years from 2020.  Just released on SGX. 5th desal plant coming online in 2020 powered by Tuas Power. Whoever bids for Hyflux assets now must be prepared to compete with ST Eng and Tuas Power combined in less than 2 years time.
