Less private sector jobs were added to the US economy than expected in August while job cuts were also above expectations and initial jobless claims unexpectedly rose to a two-month high. The results consolidated bets that the Fed will restart its cutting cycle this month, with a greater proportion of rate traders positioning for three rate cuts for the year, supporting bullion by reducing the opportunity cost of assets with yield. In the meantime, gold was also supported by concerns that threats to the Fed's autonomy could lift inflation expectations and retreat investors to safety. Fed-independence-skeptic Stephen Miran was due to join the FOMC, while contenders for assuming Chairmanship next year repeatedly voiced dovish views to align with those by President Trump.

With more analysts upgraded their target price, CNMC would easily surges past the $1 mark as gold continues it's record breaking stunt.
