Other than fundamentals pointing to sgx being overvalued, techicals show it is near multi-year resistance! Just entered a short with tight SL in case it breaks the multi year resistance (which i think is unlikely).
Not asking ppl to follow me but just sharing my view and trade =) |

Yes, SGX strong growth in derivatives trading.
SINGAPORE: The Singapore Exchange (SGX) said on Monday (Dec 29) it will upgrade its derivatives trading and clearing platforms to support the strong growth in derivatives volumes. The core trading and clearing systems will based on Nasdaq's Genium INET solution, with rollout scheduled towards the end of 2016. Nasdaq will also support and maintain its systems in SGX's securities and derivatives markets for a further six years, the Singapore bourse operator said in a stock market filing.

SGX price went up likely due to daily value transacted of the market is above $1 billion. It rose from $7.25 to $7.75 is normal, just less 7% increase in a month. It highest price for the last 5 yrs is around $10.25! |
