I agree.. Just give it a few years to grow. We, the investors, are like loansharks.. we lend money to the farmers. The farmers(the company & its management) are buying the seeds and do the planting. We have to wait till harvest to get something out of it and it takes time.. When harvest comes, they give us the spoils and they also keep some to do more plantings. Hopefully, the farmers are good, capable, and honest farmers.

SC is not through CDP, that explains why their fee is cheap. If SC collapses, your shares are gone(you cannot sell through other brokers since your shares are held by SC, not CDP). They will directly deposit the dividend to your trading account. btw, I also use SC trading account, since I can diversify better using SC.

Agree. I feel that Chairman Ren is a down to earth, no nonsense kind of guy can talk, also can do. I just hope he can brings his son, YZJ heir-apparent, to the AGM soon so I can do a proper assessment. But he did say he didn' t want his son to fly all over the place attending meetings yet, rather that his son hunker down at the yards to focus on running it optimally.

Please allow me to put in my input....between YZJ and Cosco....I will take YZJ anytime. Look and study their results and balance sheet.. .. YZJ win. Also a good annual dividend of 5c . ( of course from a trading point ...short term I have no comments. ) Just my view

I don' t use SC system.but I understand they doesn' t charge a minimum rate and cheaper.......... BUT I think standard chartered will received it on your behalf.....and distribute to you at their schedule. If buying via SC system at no minmum charge and doesn' t gets dividents than it makes their system not so attractive is n' t it ? Should have one la.can call SC trading department......

RE-Type :) sory for the terrible typos. You get the dividents either via " Cheque" or cash transfered to your bank account. Those get direct cash deposit may get a bit earlier than those het by cheque. Cash or cheque is depends on your arrangement with CDP :) As long as you still hold your YZJ shares on the day when the CD changed to XD :) If now you sell now, you will still get your divident cause its after XD date already.. BUT YZJ seem set to go higher, why sell now ? Other BUT is, its up to you guys. If you needs to cash to punt other stocks or dor soem reason or reasons best known to yourself. Cheers.
