Managed to get my first entry on .785. Please keep shorting it down. I have lots of bullets to average down 10x at 3 cents interval. But I doubt hedge fund got so much money to short it down m PE 16x, 5 x cash over debt . Good investment. | ||

As a general rule dividend is better than buyback because if you give shareholders money they have the choice to decide what to do with it (in particular whether to buy more shares themselves). Tax may be a reason why a buyback is better than a dividend. Meanwhile buybacks are better than a bad use of capital...

I can see many retail investor are so addicted to receiving dividend. Unfortunately many dont realise that Return to sharehodler in form of SBB can helps to improve valuation of the company. Anyway if ThaiBev can rebound from 41 to 50 , I don't see why RWS cannot..Be patience , wait for Hedge fund to unwind their short. | ||

If they are genuinely concerned about where the share price is - they should use the cash on balance sheet to 1) invest in good growth opportunities that generate higher returns for shareholders than dividends to maximize capital efficiency 2) otherwise return in the form of dividends to shareholders If the principals believe that they are indeed undervalued, the insiders should buy back shares in their own personal capacity to demonstrate long term confidence in the stock. Share buybacks are good but it is only if there isnt a more efficient use of the capital to generate higher return for shareholders Happy National Day weekend everyone! |

listed company in Sgx should use the dividend payment to do SBB instead. Hedge fund will think twice before shorting quality company Look at how what the US market is doing. What is the point of receiving dividend when the share drop. | ||
