x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Oil prices take breather but uptrend likely to continue   Oil fell in Asia Friday as investors took a breather from a recent price rally spurred by the International Energy Agency' s forecast that the crude oversupply would shrink dramatically later this year. The uptrend is likely to continue as the IEA report shows that a rebalancing of the supply and demand situation could come in sooner rather than later, analysts said. Demand is expected to grow at a " solid" rate this year, boosted by India' s needs, the IEA said Thursday as it projected that the oil surplus " will shrink dramatically" later in the year. The stubborn oversupply resulting from high production levels and weak demand has burdened the market for nearly two years. While prices have surged to six-month highs this week after plunging below US $ 30 in February, they are still 60 per cent off their value of more than US $ 100 a barrel in June 2014. At around 0620 GMT, US benchmark West Texas Intermediate for June delivery was down 39 US cents, or 0.84 per cent, at US $ 46.31 and Brent crude for July fell 30 US cents, or 0.62 per cent, at US $ 47.78 a barrel. Both contracts closed one per cent higher Thursday after the IEA report was released, and analysts said the uptrend was likely to continue despite occasional dips. The IEA " signalled that the non-Opec oil output could decline by a larger amount than expected this year, while demand appears to be rising more than initially forecast," said Alex Wijaya, senior sales trader at CMC Markets in Singapore. BMI Research said it was bullish on the oil market over the next three to six months " as prices remain locked in a resilient uptrend and market oversupply will continue to rebalance" . Traders are also setting their sights on a June 2 meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries. Opec and non-Opec producers in April failed to reach a deal to freeze output.

The Hang Seng Index slid 0.99 per cent, or 196.17 points, to 19,719.29. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.31 per cent, or 8.75 points, to 2,827.11, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China' s second exchange, dropped 0.32 per cent, or 5.70 points, to 1,784.33.

x 1   x 0  Alert Admin	Singapore .....STI ....still one of the developed economy in SEA and more so still with many frist class facility and strong talent pool. ​ The best honest govenment and work force...( relatively compare to our neighbours....in case this start another debate....) So our best banks like OCBC and DBS are below book value....and our 2 best oil rig builder in the world are at 2.60 Semb and 5.10 Kep..... every sell there is a buy....WHO is buying them ???    I guess many retails are throwing out due to fear..... DYODD ....time will come when everything reverse....and we start chasing it at high for these buyers ( now) to sell off.
