x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	this stock to recover 50% in the short term is impossible unless a white knight comes.  pulling out ur 30K @ 8% div/yr is 2.4k you can recover your loss in 30yrs.  my advice is remember the lesson and not the mistake. Always cover your shares, do more research instead of dumping and only waking up when there is a problem. If you dont know what this means, just buy STI ETF. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I obviously do not share the same view.  I am convinced more than ever that things cld have happened differently.  If my hsing loan had gone up from 1.48 to 2.9% from 2013 to now, I don' t see how they couldn' t have managed it better.  N by the way, the interest increase in my hsing loan has ' tamed' in more recent times.  So, that cld be some food for thought here.  LionInvestments      ( Date: 15-Nov-2018 18:59) Posted: I am also seriously under water with this investment, but  I want management to take decisions that protect my investment on the long term, not pretend everything is OK and keep on paying high unsustainable dividends. I asked the question in latest AGM in public about their high debt level and their  free cash flow not  being sufficient  to cover  dividends and they said they can only guarantee dividend level  for this year. The only thing which was not clear is how much dividend was going to be cut, because understandably that depends on evolution of the business over the year and situation in the debt markets. Especially the crunch in debt markets is more serious than expected during last few weeks (I can see that with some other investments in company with an upcoming debt wall), so with a soft business environment this was probably the best decision they could do to protect the assets and the shareholders. Unfortunately there is no way for the company to avoid such a drastic share price drop with such a large dividend cut given the limited liquidity in this counter, the  income focused investor base  and the nervous market environment... Sorry, Lion Investments, I don' t think my comments is ridiculous but only know that we lost 50% of the value of our investment within a day. Go through the list of hundreds of listed comapny and name me a profitcable company that lost its 50% share prices in a single trading day. Those Directors and Officers have fiduciary duty toward the minority shareholders. I am even more worry when you said " risk of bankruptcy" . Given the sharp decreased in share price what are the words from management? It seems that they anticipated the sharp drop in share price? They are entrusted to run the company not for free and need to take responsibilities on their actions that causing damages to the minority shareholders' interest in an sudden way. We minority shareholders have to voice up collectively through the Assosciation.

x 0   x 1  Alert Admin	To be realistic, I very much doubt it' d even go back to 30c unless some miracle happens.  Maybe, n that' my guess only, issues in Taiwan under a PRC-unfriendly govt have made economic n social conditions there more difficult due to tremendous subtle pressure from the mainland, n this has added to the Trust' s difficulties in growing (hope I' m no speculating).  But I think conditions on the Island don' t look very bright.  So, hard to place a lot of hope.  Brianfoo      ( Date: 15-Nov-2018 18:14) Posted: I really really really hope it can go back to the 50 cents plus range.
