x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Keppel Corp is also hesitated to give up all O& M sectors, if aviation resume normal, oil is a demand unless Electrical Aircraft is invented within 5 years. Reduce exposure to O& M in keppel Corp give Semb Marine more opportunities to clinch contracts which keppel thinks of lose out. In all, merger is win for both, reduce competition as this industry some said is sunset. Well if oil is still main source of energy, renewable is not substainable as it depend on natural climate.

David Kuo is a little confused, to say the least.   If a merger is to happen, Sembmarine is ONLY going to absorb the Op Co.(The yards, talents, IPs and expertises of Keppel OM or all the good stuffs). The Rig Co and Dev Co are legacy assets (the nicest term one can come out with to say stuffs that nobody wants) that lock up capital. Keppel Corp will have to solve that probvlem on its own.

A larger, consolidated rig-builder could reap great economies of scale and maintain and warrant a large manpower base.
