I hope so but judging from UOB kiamsiap mentality its highly unlikely. Wee is not known to be generous to shareholders. Anyway the bank is mainly owned by Wee family and they don't need the special dividend

UOB missed analyst targets: net income 1.5b vs actual 1.4b, eps 0.86 vs actual 0.81. I think this plus disappointing 1.70 total dividend, no special dividend and no bonus issue = brutal selling esp by the big boys LOL For OCBC better stand by -50c drop come fed 28 in case missed targets. But nav 26 and revalued nav 29.18. At 26 (I take the lower one), current price 28.50 giving p/b 1.1 (attractive !) My view. |

DBS gave 1 for 10 bonus. UOB gave 0. This is shwoing the board and owners their disgust.

OCBC - 28 Feb. UOB results seem ok. And they paying out 50% of profit as promised. Why the big drop? I almost bought before earnings since DBS earnings was good.
