The interested party has the " first bite of the cherry" .    Suspicions will always be there, they are offloading and especially so, giving the Co' s history where it IPO based on its oil exploration technology, whcih failed to take off after much hypes.  The hypes helped the co to raise IPO, private placements and also as funding for equity invetments.
 
The Co' s accumulated losses in the balance sheet ofUS$85.6 million, means that cumulatively it was loss making, and whatever remuneration, performance options (loss making performance), were mere living off its capital.

DYODD.  This is a speculative share, based on its records and performance to date, nothing to crow about.  Like all speculative plays, it will rely on hypes to push the share up, and then the BB will unload.

 Alert Admin 		The REX Mgt should be more interactive, they should be more forthcoming with their company and be clear of what their goals and objectives for their company.
I think now they at least come out from their shell with answers.

 Alert Admin 		Now that management fired off reply, let' s see the Morgan guy comes back with a rejoiner.   If they can back n forth their argument it wud be good.   Keeps the management on its toes.

 Alert Admin 		Agreed. At least Rex still has potential to pump more oil. Also potential take over target but hopefully not at this price.
Must consider Rex still trying to pay the 2nd dividend.

Go google n search those loss making companies and you will know
Who cares about shareholders when ownself pay $25000-$35000 monthly salary with perks isn?t it?

Why didn' t they activate it last week after the UOBKH " SELL" report which then obviously opened the can of worms, i.e. the open letter in BT and then BT' s Anita Gabriel' s piece on Rex... Now one week later they respond? Jokers lah... It' s undervalued for a reason. Sometimes if something is cheap, doesn' t mean you have to buy it

 Alert Admin 		The way it is going down shows that management is really not interested in driving value in the stock counter. So much cash in kitty. Perhaps after price got so low make a general offer and then take it provate and reap the free cash.

 Alert Admin 		I already sold off substantial amount, but still holding some.

Not sure what to do yet.

But what I will not do is buy in again.

From what I can see, I probably will not prosper with this

company, seems only mangement will prosper from what has been happening so far, through

their salaries (high???) and IPTs.

 Alert Admin 		Rex Management, it is time to WALK THE TALK and not just talk! Last April, during the corporate presentation, REX was shown undervalued when shareprice was around $0.3x and now undervalued at $0.1x. Action speak louder than words.

In the Co' s reply to Morgan' s open letter:

" Lastly, one point we can concur with Mr Morgan is that we are all interested in a higher share price and we believe the Company to be undervalued. "

Everyone is interested, but the fact is there - accumulated losses of USD85.6 million
Monthly oil production, even with this reply that it is seeing 9,000 barrels per day, still fall short of the past Oman' s production of 12,000 barrels per day or at heigh, probably 14,000 barrels.   

Morgan was not unprofessiional or condescending, when oil prices were at peak, production volume fell drastically with long shutdown.  Costs increased - explorations, impairment and interest expenses.

Yet, the BOD and the management, as pointed out by the forum contributor, remunerated themselves well.

UOBKH in its downgrade of the share price to 10 cents, is professiional.
