To be a successful trader, we need to follow the market. And by that, it means to see where the money is and to go where the money is. A trader cannot make money from a stock which doesnt move. SingTel has not been moving much of late. The spread is so narrow that it is near impossible for cash account players to trade. Unless you have the uncanny ability to always buy at the LOW and sell at the HIGH. For now, the money is in the REITs, the banks, SGX and some of the O& G big caps. At 3.02 pm, the monkey swallowed up all the sellers at 3.63 in one mouthful - 2035.3 lots. The price then jumped to 3.63 : 3.64. There were 3 big trades done at 3.64 within 3 seconds of each other consisting of 211.9 lots, 300 lots and 992.1 lots. And this caused the price to jump to 3.64 : 3.65. After that, I noticed that no further monkey-size type of trades in big lots was done at 3.65. We now know the price remained at 3.64 : 3.65 from 3.03 pm and for the next 2 hrs right until closing. There were 2 separate trades of 100 lots each, 1 trade of 150 lots and 1 last trade of 180 lots. This last trade was done at 4.59pm and 45 seconds right before pre-closing started. To me, these 4 trades are not considered as monkey-size type of trades. They are trades that I can do. So I would consider them as trades by the bigger retail players. These 4 trades of 100 to 180 lots were all done at 3.65. The rest are all small small trades which were clearly done by retail players. The monkey did a BUY-UP to clear sellers at 3.63 and 3.64 within a span of 1 minute and then after that for the next 2 hours, there was no more BUY-UPs by the monkey at 3.65. The people who were doing all the buying at 3.65 were, in my view, all retail players. And how many lots were bought up by retail players  at 3.65 ? A total of 3153.4 lots. The monkey didnt buy at 3.65, I think. Retail players did. If this was so, what does this look like? Looks like a push-up to distribute to retail players, I think. I could be wrong. Tomorrow we will know if this is true. If the monkey is reading this and he wants me to look silly, he may well change plans and continue to push the price higher tomorrow to distribute even higher. Which is not a bad thing either as that will do a favour to many here and throw to us a lifeline to get out.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	General Wave, bcos previously, collected the Reits at that levels. And sold 70% of the Reits stocks on the way as it go up. 30% will keep for dividend. So to trigger my interest again...it need to be low. At the " realistic" price, bcos of previous " memory" , find that expensive & hard to convince myself to buy. Esp when interest rate may be going higher & eat into their earnings. Anyway, alternatively..may be use 50% of the Reits dividend to accumulate the Reits at a bit higher level.
