Perhaps Temasek shld consider take in hyflux cheaply and merge it with sembcorp water treatment dept, then ipo the new entity.

Agree ... the best way for any White Knight is to wait for bankrupt, then buy their technology at fire sale cost ... so the technology will survive and move on with experience, and may be profitable in the future ... no loss to singapore then ... whereas for creditors and shareholders and even existing management, loss is loss liao lah ... why should any White Knight save your loss??? not your papa what ...

To survive Hyflux2.0 must (1)reduce cost (2)complete the projects they have on hand (3)get paid for the maintenance of the projects they have completed (4)bid for new projects but take in partners to build (5)sell or monetize the Tuas business (6)provide management to third parties on their proprietary water/desalination technology.A smaller but profitable Hyflux, hopefully. | ||||

If never go to court, pump in money is like using water pails to put out a large fire. When go to court, debt holders n banks will be more willing to work out a feasible plan n will probably force debt holders to lower interest rate n absorb a cut. Just see how many banks Hyflux owe money to. Court order mean they can save effort to negotiate with each individual bank.
