Yes, the decision to start buying today is one which is high risk high returns. If the bottom has come and gone last Fri at 3.32, this ship is going to continue to sail higher up north tomorrow. Buying today will put one in a good position when prices are even higher tomorrow. But on the flip side, if this bounce is just a Meow Meow Bounce, if the price stalls and then reverse back down towards 3.32 in search of her real bottom, then whatever we buy today...got to languish meantime whilst we wait for the real bottom to come and go. 3.42 : 3.43 now.

safer to start buy up process once the selling is over.. at least trend is up and one doesnt need to bottom fish..

Very unlikely to see corresponding shorts surge heavily before the heavy selling came in without insider news. The selling today is pretty tamed, no real signs of institution selling. I would say, just follow tell tale signs given by shortists, as they have access to insider info. To confirm, just look at the short selling report today. Sure to see a big drop in daily shorts for singtel. |

It is very obvious, short covering today. The people working at institution funds that were selling leaked news before they started to sell. Probably got their distant-relatives or friends to short. Sudden furious short cover up back could mean end of selling and reversal of trend. We will get a clear picture in the next few days. I collected @ 3.34 avg price with 15% of my ammunition. Seeing decent gains now. |

Hope so. Like I said, who can beat the monkey? Another bigger and stronger monkey. But whether there is one... we dunno yet. Just a while ago, there was a sell down trade of 342.6 lots at 3.41. That' s 1.16m trade. That selldown pushed the price down by 1 bid back to 3.40 : 3.41 from 3.41 : 3.42. The battle is not over yet. One clearer sign that SingTel could have seen the bottom at 3.32 last Friday is if she keeps showing us a higher intraday high and even higher tomorrow. Today, there are still many people who are wary and cautious about the current bounce. Becoz if it is a Meow Meow Bounce, to buy into this bounce now and after that see the price retreat back to 3.32 is bely Tua Cake Sim and Pek Chake one. That' s why people are scared to chase today. Naturally. But comes tomorrow, if the price continues to do this higher intraday price action, then the most savvy of investors and traders will jump in to buy some first. A 2nd day of the same intraday higher high price action will be a stronger signal that she has bottomed out and turned the corner. And a 2nd green candle will then appear on the chart. Today, we see the 1st green candle. And a quite Tua Kee one.

Could be the 7% of singapore (ex temasek) holdings unloaded from the annual report year 2016 to 2017 coming back to load again at bargain prices. If so, a bottom has been reached. | ||||

Been observing it too. but looks like a bigger monkey entered the game to play the game. Pushing the prices up with higher and higher volume. Doubt it is one seller call now. Its some other monkey taking the driver seat. Probably too dulan with this monkey and took out all his banana weapon to whack back | ||||

Market seems buoyant and bullish. But is it real? Or just another Meow Meow spike to suck in retailers. Take SingTel... There is a seller in her. He was selling on Friday. These were his selldown trades... 372,300 at 3.34 at 10.51am - 1.2m trade 946,000 at 3.35 at 10.25am - 3.16m trade 901,100 at 3.34 at 9.39am - 3m trade 395,800 at 3.34 at 9.39am - 1.32m trade 601,100 at 3.33 at 9.14am - 2m trade 395,200 at 3.33 at 9.14am - 1.31m trade SingTel closed at 3.33 on Friday. Earlier when she was at 3.37 : 3.38, I was watching and waiting to see if the monkey is standing aside for now to allow retailers to chase first. After that then he comes out to whack the price back down to 3.33 : 3.34. And he did that. He came out to whack the buyers at 3.37. You can see his trades here.  That' s a 2.98m trade. All 3 trades were done within 1 to 2 seconds from each other. They are from the same person. Cannot be 3 separate traders who decided to sell in big lots and all 3 of them who are strangers all decided to by coincidence execute their trades 1 to 2 seconds from each other. After that, there was one hue BUY-UP trade of 1045.1 lots at 3.37. This was followed by more buying at 3.38, 3.39 and 3.40. Now price is at 3.40 : 3.41. I am wondering if the monkey is waiting for this buying wave to end and then he resumes his selling or he is now forced to have a change of plans and end his selling campaign. We watch on. |

According to sgx data, this stock has been in the top 10 institution sell list for the last 11 mths out of 17 mth since sep 16. Will be waiting for the instituition selling to taper off before buying some for dividend income. | ||||
