Anything above is bonus to me.  volvo125      ( Date: 12-Feb-2025 23:09) Posted: Looking back at the technical projected trend line I drew ~4 months ago on 25 Oct 2024, YFH has indeed forged a new higher sloping trend channel and has successfully traced through 0.445 to 0.47 to now early 0.50+. The immediate resistance is at 0.545, a price engraved on the mass grave tombstone that buried all the stale bulls almost 3 years ago on the week 6 Jun 2022. With Fed rate already down 1% but further cut(s) now seems in the pause probably until 2Q, YFH will probably need to pay at least ~5.5% yield DPS of 0.028~0.03 to hold a price of 0.51~0.545, unless Fed signals to cut 0.5% in 2Q. It is probably highly achievable for YFH in FY25 but I think it is a very tall order for YFH in FY24, unless MF and the new maritime businesses have gained significant traction in new income generation and NPL has improved beyond the point that now write backs are making their way back to the P& L.  I see a DPS of 0.026 probable if YFH can maintain its 1H performance in 2H with no more new NPL provisions but also no write backs, any positive impacts from stronger maritime buisiness and higher dividend income from PE and write backs will be a bonus to boost the NPAT and DPS further. If Fed does signal and cut ~0.5% in 2Q, then 0.50~0.55+ will be well supported beyond ex-dividend, else YFH will probably stay at the high 0.40+ to low 0.50+ until 1H25 is released. I saw Salim88 chart and his 0.77 projection with the Cup & Handle pattern projection. I love his projection but I really do not think YFH will see any price near 0.77 any time soon, not until MF, the new maritime business, private credit, P& PE ... etc can effectively replace the 60% exited DI business, plus Fed will have to cut a further 1~1.5% from the current 4.5% rate. Latest MAS cumulative shorts report has shown a more significant reduction of 3.1m shares as at week ending 18 Oct. Shorts were observed to first start cutting back since the week ending 11 Oct by 1.7m. Cumulative outstanding shorts had been maintained at ~21~23m+ in the past many weeks until last week ending 18 Oct. More shorts cutting back may be on the table in the weeks ahead as the 3Q24 voluntary business update may be released, likely by mid Nov.    I reinvested 87% of my FY23 dividend to increase my YFH stake, all at 0.32. The decision, on hindsight so far, seems still correct. Today 0.405 close sits exactly on the old uptrend channel resistance line (established since 28 Dec 2023) that might now highly likely turning as support. There were 2 Break of Structure at high volume (meaning, the price action is significant), first at 0.37 and then again at 0.40 (the first higher high), and ultimately hitting a second higher high at 0.445 before an expected and certainly healthy retracement. I believe YFH is in the midst of forging a new higher sloping trend channel along the path of 0.445 to 0.47 to 0.50+ in the months ahead. Of course, a sub par 3Q24 update will derail the seemingly ongoing positive trend. If so, prices could move fast to next resistance at 54.5 soon. This make the upcoming results interesting because any out sized earnings would propel the share prices more aggressively to the up side. We wait with abated breath.

Vicious cycle of long term shorting till bb decide enough is enough and buy up the stock. Currently it is a short covering cycle, very few investors sell. Maybe it time MAS fixed distorted stock borrowing rate to fix delisting trend.
