Anyway, from what I know, there is no brokerage fee here to start with in the first place. A monkey works this way. 1. He finds a house to collaborate with him. He gets as many terminals as he wants and a special room at the broking house to trade. 2. The House does not charge any brokerage at all. Its free. But SGX Clearing fee ... that one Boh Pian...its a third party charge not within the control of the House so that fee has to be paid.  So per trade, there is no brokerage fee. Only SGX Clearing fee. So you can imagine how low the monkey' s transaction cost is.  3. All profits are shared 50:50 between House and monkey. Losses are borne by the monkey alone. But they win almost every time and rarely lose. That' s why monkeys find this arrangement workable and they do it again and again.
