Yes i totally agree Shampain, all in 1 post than. So troublesome click so many thread. Please tell the Admin and moderator of sharejunction to consolidate all in Singtel post. Easier for them to moderate isnt it? What a total Joke:-)

Yes, Wavehunter do guide us newbies but can do it on the NEW posting at  the Home page under Latest Forum Posting, we know how to view them Do Keep SINGTEL on SINGTEL shares only as it can be very distracting Stop talking about Kartek Monkey doing this and that as None of us can time the market nor manupulate it especially this counter If we knew like a GURU, all will be making money

Hi wavehunter, I' m one of those with shares stuck in Singtel.     Have been reading and following a few threads and just wanted to say I do appreciate your various sharing.     And on many occasions, you really take the effort to answer & explain stuff to the newbies/inexperienced.....   Besides, it is also through such  cross-sharing that newbies like me get to find out what are some other ' good' stocks that the experienced traders are monitoring.     So I do think it' s a good learning opportunity for some of us......so I dun really mind the slight distraction as I can always ignore those I' m not keen on since it' s not excessive   :) |

< SIGH> < SHAKE HEAD> SingTel is not going anywhere. There is a Kartek Monkey in the driver' s seat. He is the reason why SingTel cannot recover. The Kartek Monkey must end this shorting game first. Only then can SingTel recover. Becoz of this idiot Kartek Monkey, many brothers and sisters here are languishing and in distress. I have discussed SingTel' s price movements in detail and at lengths over the last one month or more here. If you read this thread from a month ago, you will be able to follow the discussions here and understand the distress and anguish felt by the brothers and sisters here. You will understand the state of mind they are in now... their sorrow...their pain...their worries. At a time like this when people see their hard-earned savings stuck in a stock which does not seem to have a glimmer of hope, I thought it will be nice if I can recommend some other stocks to these wounded people who are badly in need of encouragement and moral support to keep their spirits up and their hopes alive. Hence, I alerted them to DBS and my 4 Musketeer REITs so that those who want to trade them to make some money back to cheer themselves up, can do so. At a time like this, the people here need hope. Not more despair. So a little indulgence from you and others not to be so calculative will go a long way to allieviate the pain and suffering of some of our brothers and sisters here. Can or not?   |

Sorry as i am Newbie here but is this supposed to be a Singtel related post but why are there so many others(riets & DBS)? Why are we distracted away from here? All these  4 Musketeers posted are all related to Retail shops right? (Newbie). I saw so many Empty shops in Suntec, Marina, Orchard Road and other places. It seems the new milleniums are going for online purchasing that causes retail and rentals to fail badly, shouldnt we stay away from them? Isnt this asking people to buy Comfort Delgro and SMRT when Grab, Uber are taking their business away? Do correct me if i am wrong but do so in other related post as this is Singtel. Thank you, my personal opnion |

Suntec REIT... This is her 6-Mth Daily Chart. ![]() Using the same approach to observe by how much she fell in recent years on those occasions when she broke below her 20-ema and 50-ema followed by her 200-ema,  I observed that she found a bottom after falling some 12 cts to 18 cts below her 200-ema. Her 200-ema is currently at $1.95. This gives us an Area of Support at $1.77 to $1.83. Likewise, we see if her Last Low at $1.89 can hold out against the winds of volatility in the next 2 weeks prior to FOMC Meeting. If it holds, we buy some. And add more as she recovers. If $1.89 breaks, then we get ready for $1.77 to $1.83. |

CapitaMall Trust... This is her 2-Yr Daily Chart. ![]() Her Last Low was $1.95 reached on 15 February 2018. This price was reached only once. Subsequent attempts to retest her Last Low  stopped at $1.96 over the next 5 consecutive sessions. ![]() If $1.95 refuses to break in the next 2 weeks of volatility leading to the FOMC Meeting on 20th-21st March 2018, buy some. But if it    breaks, her next support, based on chart, is at $1.91 followed by $1.87. |

So if SingTel rises tomorrow and looks promising then I should hold on and if it doesnt then I shall sell and buy the REITS?  Was worried about the interest rake hike that will affect reite. Federal Reserve will announce the hike during mid march right?

SingTel is now trading at very near a long term support level - 3.30. If the Kartek Monkey is in the course of covering all his SHORTs at current price of 3.34 to 3.37 with the view to closing shop, then when he is done, SingTel is going to blast off and the first 10 cts of recovery will come very fast and will be achieved within 1 or 2 days. That initial blast off will see the price clear sellers at 3.43 which is the current resistance only becoz the Kartek Monkey has parked his tank there. This is the scenario if the Kartek Monkey does not intend to break 3.30 to take her lower. But if he plans to whack her down some more, cutting first to stop the bleeding and then follow her down to buy back when the SHORTing game eventually ends is a viable option. But which scenario is going to pan out, that, we do not know. Hence, whether to cut SingTel to redeploy your troops to join the Musketeers in their Journey To The North is a business decision which you, as Commander- in-Chief of your troops, will have to make. I am sharing this opening with regard to the Musketeers for those interested to mobilise their troops. But as to where to get the troops and how to raise an army, this one...each Commander-in-Chief will have to decide.

This next posting is for those of you who are interested in making money in the stock market. So I guess it means everyone.  But if you are an old hand in this game and you already know about this for a very long time, please bear with me for I am writing this for the benefit of those newbies and not-so-newbie but doesn' t know about REITs. REITs are required by law to declare dividends every quarter. But they can, to reduce administrative burden, choose to pay dividends twice a year instead of every quarter. CapitaComm Trust (CCT) pays dividends twice a year in Jan and Jul. For a long time, Ascendas REIT has been paying dividends every quarter. But in 2017, they decided to change their policy to paying dividends twice a year in Apr and Oct. Suntec REIT and CapitaMall Trust (CMT) have been paying and are still paying dividends every quarter in Jan, Apr, Jul and Oct. I am covering only these 4 REITs which are my favourite REITs. And they are my favourites becoz they have a wide following of funds, institutional investors, retail investors and traders. As a result, they are very liquid and with that, they enjoy big price spreads and very attractive price swings within a short time compared to other REITs. Just to use one example...OUE Hospitality Trust - it took more than 5 months for this REIT to rise 17.5 cts. Compare this with Ascendas REIT which can rise 12 to 19 cts within  2 weeks. From time to time I have been scanning the market to review my REIT Portfolio to see if any other REIT has become the likes of my 4 Musketeers. So far, I have found nothing. And invariably, I still end up with these 4 Musketeers. I wish there are more like the Musketeers. More such REITs will mean more good stocks to play and profit from. From this point, when I say REITs, I am referring to my 4 Musketeers. I cant say for the other REITs becoz I dont trade them or monitor them. It may well be that other REITs also behave in the same way as the Musketeers in terms of their up and down waves. But they may also not. So to avoid miscommunication, when I say REITs, I mean only my 4 Musketeers. After years of observing and trading the REITs, I learnt one characteristic about them which by and large is repeated quarter after quarter. There were some quarters when it didnt happen. But in most quarters, it did. And becoz it has happened so frequently that over the long term, it is  viable to count on it to happen and to position ourselves ahead of its happening. This is what I have observed. In the month when my REITs report their results and announce their dividends, they will run up. Hence, to benefit from this almost like clockwork run-up, all we need to do is to take up position in those REITs by buying the lows in the month preceding a reporting month. In other words, just buy the LOWs of Dec, Mar, June and Sep. Then hold your positions until mid to the end of the following month. During this period, the 4 Musketeers will run. Counting from the LOWs of the preceding month to the HIGHs of the reporting month, they will run anything from 10 cts to 25 cts.  The only thing we need to do is to catch the LOWs of the preceding months and that' s the challenge the Musketeers have for us. This month, ie. March is one such preceding month. The Musketeers will be reporting results and declaring dividends next month in Apr. Suntec and CMT will be paying their quarterly dividends. Ascendas declared but did not pay dividends in the previous quarter. So this Apr, she will be paying dividends for two quarters. CCT paid two quarters of dividends in the previous quarter. So in Apr, she will declare but not pay dividends. Nevertheless, she will also join the other 3 Musketeers to run. Just like Ascendas also ran in the previous quarter although she did not pay dividends. So the Musketeers' challenge to all of us here is to catch their MARCH LOWs. Do that and you will make at least 10 cts from each Musketeer. All the best, guys and HAPPY PLAY CATCHING !!!
