Speculate is not wrong but hammering negative or neutral to speculate is irresponsible.
What i posted not fact meh? Evergreen marine historical low price, container freight rate historical low, container market is poor but over supply continue. With above, my conclusion is full of risk to load nol at 1.2. Any wrong on this statement? I have my right to post when longists are overspeculate without stand, i have plenty stand to support my view. This thread are flooded ' temasek will not sell cheap' so is it fact? No really, temasek is good in sell cheap when they want to sell their lose making counters, they will sell cheap and stop bleeding. Already said before, nol has nothing else to sell to raise cash after nol building and apl logistics, nol for sure will continue making loss after lose money for 4years straight, next money to come out will be from temasek pocket which is right issue. Sell now with cash go into pocket at cheap better than in the future vomit out money to fill nol hole. If CMA walk away, the impact to nol price is very huge. So no matter how temasek will sell to CMA no matter what price, even below NAV. |

same go for u  early bird this post is also not for u. forum is more for active discussion not for spreading fear or greed. Staying neutral and keep ur shortist/contra view to urself. Currently up trend is for NOL since it entered a exclusive deal with CMA and CMA would be under pressure to seal it before maersk take action. So more trading action for whoever got the ball to go through it, trading pattern follow last week, load up in monday - wednesdays then unload on thurs and Friday. 1 more week of trading opportunity for whoever wanna make coffee money but be nimble and fast.

Deal or not deal, from 1.2 to 1.38 with nav value, a potetial earning if around 10%, 1.2 to 1.54 (cimb said) around 20%.
But no deal? it will drop to the price before deal new start around 0.95. Above is a price that deal or no deal come out overnight, the next day price will react. Some take over deal is even there is no deal, price won't be affected a lot but nol is in a recession market talking a deal and the deal has caused the price to speculate to the highest potential take over level but far away from market value valued according to competitors and peers share price. Judge yourselves. This is not got ball or no ball issue, now is the really the time to think if you still want to believe those people who loaded at low and speculate to high or choose to sideline since already miss the boat, don't end up up lorry and lose big!!!

Undervalued? Piece of gold also cannot be rated as over or under value, it is valued according to present market which is now. If based on today measurement, 2005, gold 400 was undervalued but 2011, 1800 is overvalued.
Market value nol now as 1.2, this is her value, no under or over valued with potential take over. But if put nol to compared with other competitors listed with equal performance, NOL 1.2 is overvalued due to potential take over speculation. If there is not deal, nol will be back to 80-90 or ever lower. Why simple https://www.google.com/finance?cid=674468 Look at evergreen marine share price. Historical low. So do you know you are betting on a unknown takeover price which can be 90 to 1.53, with present price, if there is a deal, this is 50-50% bet. But if with deal or not deal with present price which nol may hit historical price as well which is 70 or lower, so this bet winning rate is as low as 20-80% if CMA choose to walk away and cause the drop. Are you clear what kind of risk you are involving? Undervalued? You are really undervalued the risk involve on this bet. Hahaha!!!!

Maersk Line not ruling out possibility of NOL dealDiscussions may resume if exclusive acquisition talks with CMA CGM fall through

Published: 4:15 AM, November 26, 2015
SINGAPORE &mdash The world&rsquo s largest container-shipping company, Maersk Line, said talks with Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) could resume if the Singaporean liner&rsquo s potential acquisition by French group CMA CGM fails. &ldquo It depends on the conditions, that&rsquo s for sure. But you have to look at it as &lsquo if there&rsquo s a viable deal space, we will of course look into it&rsquo ,&rdquo Maersk Line&rsquo s chief operating officer, Soren Toft, said yesterday at a media roundtable.
Mr Toft was responding to a question on whether the company would still be interested if exclusive talks between NOL and CMA CGM do not go through. NOL had announced over the weekend that it had entered exclusive talks with the French company for its potential sale. CMA CGM has until Dec 7 to &ldquo complete customary due diligence on NOL and its subsidiaries and negotiate the definitive agreements to be entered in relation to the offer&rdquo , NOL said in the statement. Its announcement came after a previous disclosure earlier this month that it was in preliminary discussions with both CMA CGM and Maersk over a potential acquisition. When asked what went down during the discussions that resulted in CMA CGM clinching exclusive talks with NOL, Mr Toft declined to comment. &ldquo I&rsquo m not going to comment on specific deals and talks that we had with NOL or any other party other than to say we have been in discussions &hellip But generally, we&rsquo re always looking at opportunities for consolidating,&rdquo he said. &ldquo We drive our organic growth strategy, but should there be an opportunity then we will always take a look at it. At the end of the day, it takes a willing seller as well, not only a willing buyer. So in that sense, this is just part of the repertoire that we&rsquo re looking at,&rdquo he added. Mr Toft also said that the industry will &ldquo certainly benefit&rdquo if players consolidate amid the current challenging climate, but Maersk does not always have to be the one &ldquo activating&rdquo the process. &ldquo A consolidated industry where all other players are also participating in consolidation is also a good outcome,&rdquo he said. With the tide not likely to turn for the container shipping industry going into 2016, Mr Toft said freight rates will continue on a &ldquo slow erosion&rdquo path due to the current supply-demand imbalance. He noted that by the first half of 2015, Maersk Line&rsquo s average freight rate had declined 1.9 per cent per annum since 2004. Steps that the company is taking to reduce costs include cutting 4,000 jobs globally and closing down services to rationalise its networks, as well as forming partnerships to increase efficiency through the sharing of resources. He declined to elaborate on how many jobs would be cut in Singapore. &ldquo We need to stay dynamic that&rsquo s a reality in our business &hellip I think it&rsquo s a thing of the past that Maersk is on our own,&rdquo said Mr Toft, adding that Maersk has been working with partners in most of the trade routes in its network. |
