x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I also bought a book called Technical Analysis Explained by Martin Pring which I have been keeping around for 10 yrs or more but dunno whether I have read 10 pages of it or not. Mine is 3rd Edition. By today dunno izzit already 5th or 6th or 7th Edition. Bro Panda also have one so he will know what' s the latest. When I am sibeh free and sibeh bored then maybe I will pick it up to read again. Why I am in no hurry to read that book ar ? Coz I have read articles and watched many videos on TA over the years and they all more or less say the same things. I dont expect to read anything new in Martin Pring' s book. One big reason why I did not dive into that book to memorize every word is becoz after so many years in the market, we have come to learn that TA is not the holy grail to trading. TA works only when a sufficient number of traders happen to look at the same market and also happen to use the same timeframe to trade that market. Then maybe...just maybe, that market will move " just like TA has predicted" . And those who happened to look at that market all eyes big big and mouth big big and exclaim - " TA really works!!!" But the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth is that TA works only when enough traders look at the same market, use the same timeframe to trade it and rely on the same indicators for BUY or SELL signal and lastly, actually act on those signals and hit the button. Then it works. In other words, TA is a self-fulfilling prophesy. It is like I started a rumour. The rumour gathers strength and starts to spread around in all directions. Unknown to me, the rumour spread far and wide. And then not long after, just by chance when I was sitting in a foodcourt, I heard a group of middle-age guys who spoke good English talking about what is in the rumour. And becoz I heard this same rumour from total strangers, I become convinced that the rumour is true. But unknown to me, if we do a tracing back of where these guys heard the rumour from, it will trace a very long way right back to me becoz I was the one who started this rumour based on a gutfeel or hunch. And the truth is there is no truth in the rumour. It is just gibberish talk based on a hunch bred from boredom. But rumour it may be, if it spreads far and wide and gathers enough momentum and come back to the source a full circle, it will feel like the truth. Including for the person who started it. TA is like that too. If everyone is looking at the 200-ema for a possible bounce and hits the button the moment the stock dips to that level, that stock will bounce for sure and bounce very strongly which will in turn spur even more traders to hit the button repeatedly and furiously due to FOMO. And then everyone who were looking at their LIVE chart will go..................."
