Buy incrementally at various strategic Pit Stops and spread out your averaging down to achieve a better average price so as to bring yourself within striking distance when a rebound comes... OR... stay sidelines and buy when the monkey starts buying... different strokes for different folks. So long as can make money... is a good stroke. But General Lucky... if I do it your way, I will add one modification to it...and which is, I will use a pyramid-shape type of buying, ie. lesser at the top and more at the bottom. That way, the average price will be far superior than a strategy where I buy the same number of stocks to average down as the price falls. Then buy back when she bottoms out and U-turn back up. That way, you can avoid the loss in-between. And you can sleep better too knowing that the stock can drop all she likes meantime as it wont bother you anymore. Your bleeding has stopped. But people who employ this strategy must keep a close watch on the stock and on the broader market. ST Engrg is not a market leader. She is a follower. If the broader market recovers, she will follow. Those who are already vested, you are languishing. My heart bleeds for you. You have 2 options. 1. LOON on. Wait for the big buyer to come back. How long? I dont know. But he will come back. Becoz ST Engrg is not a Noble. Noble is a shit stock. ST Engrg' s fundamentals are far superior. And she pays good dividends - 15 cts per year. The lower her price, the higher her Dividend Yield. Plus attractive stock price appreciation potential. If you choose to LOON on, remember to add more if you can, when the big buyer is back in the driver' s seat.   2. Do a technical short to stop the bleeding. But only if you think she has more downside and hence worthwhile to execute this strategy. For those of you who are looking to buy, dont be a hero.  Dont be the first one to CHEONG in. Many a times, we get impatient...our fingers become very itchy... and our hearts are filled with misplaced hopes and bullishness that right after we buy, others behind us will CHEONG in to buy and immediately lift the price to put us in the money. But the reality is that you and you alone are the only one who feels bullish about the stock and that not many share your gutfeel that this stock is going to U-turn and blast off towards the Moon anytime soon. So dont be a hero to be the first one to CHEONG in thinking that others will follow you. If you CHEONG in first and shout your battle cry and you keep running, when you turn your head and look back, you will discover that there is no one...no one at all behind you. Coz everyone is still standing at the sidelines waving " All the best" to you. Wanna buy, be patient and wait. Wait for the big buyer to take the driver' s seat. Funny how people talk as if Aberdeen Asset Management has some dire and urgent need to prop up the stock price of one stock in their portfolio. They probably aren' t really bothered, especially when there are many other avenues for generating superior returns.

I have no data, news or whatever facts to back me up, but just looking at it current traded price somehow, it seems there is a psychological   barrier at 3.210. Dont mistaken, I am still on accumulation mode. But it increasingly looks likely that it would go down to 3.1xx or even 2.9xx. I am still holding, not selling, not buying anymore at the moment until a clearer picture can be visualised. Good Luck to all, including myself.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	According to what I saw online, Aberdeen Asset Management owns more than 140 million shares in ST Engrg. Every 1 ct movement in the stock price is $1.4m. ST Engrg' s 52-Wk HIGH was 3.86. She closed at 3.23 today. That' s 63 cts below her 52-Wk HIGH. Which means Aberdeen Asset Management' s portfolio of ST Engrg shares is now worth $88.2m lower.  Which also mean if they do nothing, their management fee which is usually 2% and pegged to the value of the fund, will be $1.764m lower.  Heheh.
