KGI keeps &lsquo buy&rsquo on AEM after seeing &lsquo positive signs&rsquo from Intel
 
KGI Research has kept its &ldquo buy&rdquo call on AEM Holdings AWX -0.27% with a target price of $4.15 after its key customer, Intel showed an early sign of recovery.
 
On July 27, Intel reported its results for the 2QFY2023 ended June, with revenue beating estimates at US$12.9 billion ($17.26 billion) despite the 15% y-o-y decline. The company had turned profitable after two straight loss-making quarters just before.
 
Non-GAAP (or generally accepted accounting principles) earnings per share (EPS) stood at 13 US cents, again surpassing market expectations.
 
KGI&rsquo s report on Aug 2 also comes after AEM announced that it had settled a legal dispute with Advantest America and Advantest Test Solutions. The company will pay US$9 million in the 2QFY2023 and US$11 million in the 3QFY2024 with internal resources. The payment is expected to have a &ldquo minimal impact&rdquo on AEM&rsquo s operations.
 
The brokerage has also pegged AEM' s entry price at $3.81 with a stop-loss target of $3.63.

Maybank Research&rsquo s Jarick Seet has upgraded his call on AEM  AWX  0.27%  to &ldquo hold&rdquo from &ldquo sell&rdquo previously, with the semiconductor solutions provider having cleared an &ldquo overhang&rdquo after reaching a settlement with Advantest for US$20 million ($26.62 million).


In his report dated July 28, analyst Jarick Seet has also increased his target price to $3.90 from $2.72 previously as he rolls over his P/E ratio to 12x of AEM&rsquo s FY2024 earnings.

&ldquo We think the market has already priced in a weak 2QFY2023 and FY2023 and will now focus on AEM&rsquo s prospects ahead,&rdquo he writes.

rest is up to you. hold tight to your investment, still see the 500k q in market depth,
stronger resistant at 3.80 (37k) and both 3.85 / 3.90 (aprox 52k).
let see how market moves in given US relatively weak last night with
more shortist hanging around since last few week.
