Cheers. --------------- Supermax earnings jump 26.5-fold to RM399.62mil Tuesday, 11 Aug 2020 PETALING JAYA:   Supermax Corp Bhd posted a 26.5-fold jump in net profit to RM399.62mil for the fourth quarter ended June 30, bringing its full-year net profit to RM525.6mil, which represents a four-fold increase as compared to the previous year. This marks the glove maker&rsquo s best-ever quarterly financial performance, mainly due to an exponential rise in demand for medical gloves and other personal protective equipment on the back of the Covid-19 pandemic. During the quarter under review, Supermax achieved industry-leading earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, pre-tax profit and net profit margins of 60.4%, 55.9% and 43.9%, respectively. In a statement, Supermax said it is seeing an emergence of new consumers and new consumption that were not previously seen prior to Covid-19. &ldquo The surge in demand has resulted in a rapid rise of average selling prices (ASPs) since March 2020. Governments all over the world have increased healthcare spending budgets to contain the effects of the pandemic and in preparation of a possible second or more waves. &ldquo At this point in time, the world continues to discover new strains of viruses and in light of these developments, the group expects demand to remain buoyant in 2021 and beyond, &rdquo said Supermax. The group plans to invest a total capital expenditure of RM1.3bil for the development of five glove manufacturing plants, which is targeted for completion in 2022. The expansion plans will result in an additional production capacity of 22.25 billion pieces of gloves, which will bring Supermax&rsquo s total production capacity to 48.42 billion pieces of gloves by end-2022. Supermax mainly operates via its own brand manufacturing (OBM) model, where products are manufactured, packaged and marketed under the group&rsquo s in-house brands. Currently, the group exports 55% of its own-brand production via its distribution centres, while 40% are exported through independent distributors. Meanwhile, the remaining 5% of Supermax&rsquo s production is catered to original equipment manufacturing production. &ldquo The robust demand at present has provided the group an opportunity to build new relationships with new customers and distributors, in anticipation of repeat orders post-pandemic. &ldquo The highest ASPs have not been reflected this quarter and we are optimistic that our OBM and distribution business model will exhibit even healthier performance in the coming quarters, &rdquo said Supermax.  Supermax closed 7.5% or RM1.72 lower at RM21.20 on a volume of 43.35 million shares.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Both Supermax and UG is OBM. Supermax yearly production is 24billion. UG yearly production is 2.9billion. Is 10 time lesser than Supermax. Supermax 1H20 net profit is RM479million / S$157million. Divide by 10 = S$15.7million. It is very easy to surpass the target that set by CGS-CIMB (S$10.1million). Malaysia Ringgit also go stronger from May till now. The gain from foreign exchange also is a extra profit to company.

And dare to spread fake news! How to collect cheap? Definitely need to press down the price to shake all the small fishes out of the game. Those sold will need to buy at a higher price, indeed pushing up the price higher later on. Quote from others from other forum Carepls made 400% increased profit, the Q2 2020 result was released on 24/7/2020. Supermax is giving a briefing tomorrow morning and we will know their future prospects very soon.
