Brother, I' ve not followed closely to be honest, so I wldn' t do justice to venture an opinion.  But I do recall reading abt KPT being with Ezra for a specific purpose n having completed what he was tapped for, he left.  Also noted from the Triyards BOD that a number who ceased after 2014 had actually served for 3 yrs (not sure if longer cos I did not drill to prior yrs).  So, perhaps  some of the  changes were timely.  On the flip side,I recall reading here suggestions that the SPost board might have more than its fair share of members who might have overstayed their sell-by date.  So, as outsider observers, we form opinions which may or may not be accurate.  When we post  or  blog, though, hope we cld try our best to be objective.

I  think he did say it had declined even before oil.  Still, my personal read is, the analysis isn' t that inspiring.  One thing, if I recall correctly, is that oil majors started cutting back expenditure even before oil px itself started tanking.  N that probably affected Ezra.  For Noble, I recall there were issues of being affected by low cotton px.  The downturn of the Australian mining sector also was cruel to them.  So, during the commodity super cycle, everyone was happy.  When commodities nosedived people don' t seem to remember.  Lots of  " experts" point the finger at management.  I' m not saying management is blamless.  But if one had  the full slate of facts, both historical n current, n were to do  an objective assessment, perhaps he/she  might just  have thought  that more credit n  sympathy  wld have been  due, especially to  the Elderly man.  Wld he have grown Noble to what it is today if he did not have the vision, foresight n acuement to nurture it in the first place?  For Ezra, I believe the problem might have started with the high cost of acquisition of ANC.  Whether they miscalculated, had no clues  as to how to manage  their costs or were scuttled by events beyond their control after that, or the problem cld have been attributed to a combinatin of all factors,  I have not followed through so I can' t say.  By the same token, I wldn' t grade the stated writeup an " A" as I think the analysis isn' t sufficiently indepth.  N maybe, just maybe, the Lee pair of father n son deserves some credit n sympathy too.

 Alert Admin 		Agree with you on this. It's a terrible plan. It's almost similar to China's short circuit....creating fear, attracting shortists, creating unnecessary admin cost for company and most importantly...hurting investors. It should have long been scrapped. I've heard only bad things about it.

well it is not a big loss actually.55.3 mil is just only $55,300,000 USD ... 1.43 x 55.3 = ~ $79,000,000 SGD only 

just need another rights issue and all will be well again for ezra probably...

oil price going hay wire with USA interest rates rise and china yuan devaluation. expect the unexpected.oil will probably reach $20+ wil saudi and iran taps on all the way and iraq taps on all the way. iran have many ships offshore full of OIL.

there will be more downtrend probably in the next week for ezra, 1 day drop 9 bids = 5.5%  

and rights and going to be cheaper soon as well.  

all those who hold ezra... think again.  

is it good to hold now or is it good to hold later when the dust settles after the onslaught of shares flooding into the market.
