Arriving cost of $2.50 cost after holding for 10 years with approx $0.15 annual dividend entails many assumptions. There is no such thing as free money and guaranteed dividend. Business environment, industry landscape, technology roadmap, company dynamic, etc...ever changing. Wish that investing is so simple. DYODD.

At current price, it's dividends is 5% per year. With such good returns from a solid telecoms company, where else you want to park your money besides SingTel? One of the most stable investments with good annual returns. Don't think the share price will stay at 3.50 for long. Vested. Holding long term, much better than put in the banks. Lol. | ||||

Ya Loh! If you bought at $4.00, yearly enjoy say about $0.15 dividen. If you keep for 10 years, you received almost $1.5, so one share you bought only $2.50. Why so worry? In some case, especially the expire date of Aug div, the share always shoot up to $4.2 to $4.40 by that time you can choose to sale.

Bro I am certain there are many shareholders holding above 3.60 or even 3.80 ....many are long term investor enjoyging the 4/5% dividend. Looking at the volume and several large big transaction , it cant be retail buy up .......there are room for this counter to move up more. ( not in a day .....) But very possible in the coming days and weeks befor its full year result . happy investing.

Take some profit off the table if u can.. I think final year results could be flat.. nothing spectacular .. hopefully funds not pushing up to run away.. u never know. So take some profit if u bought at 3.3x level
