SINGAPORE: Singapore&rsquo s Ezra Holdings Ltd, seeking to weather a slump in the offshore marine services industry, is evaluating ways to strengthen its capital structure, people with knowledge of the matter said. The company is working with a financial adviser to find investors for about US$100mil of new stock, the people said, asking not to be identified as the process is private. It is also seeking to term out more than US$100mil of its loans and bonds, as it tries to ease a short-term financing strain in part by extending its debt maturities, one of the people said. Shares of Ezra, which has a market value of S$147mil (US$109mil), have fallen 17% this week on concern about the industry after Swiber Holdings Ltd filed a petition to wind up and liquidate itself. All matters so transparent, ezra really look like they need a lot of money to tide over.  Look at mermaid, they just recontract their rigs at substantially lower rates than previous contract for 3 years. What does it mean? They anticipate recovery will not come in any 2 years time. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	The selldown is probably due to this news.  To raise US$100mil on current price of 4.5cts, you need to issue 1-for-1.  But who will subscribe at current market price or even subscribe at all.  Even if someone do, given EZRA dire situaton, minimum 50% discount to price.  Then you are looking for 2-for-1.  Theortical xd price should then be 3cts.  But as Ezion and loads of others that have demonstrated, liekly to go near or below right price.  AOF might participate given their style. Shortist is now gleaming with joy liao.  No need to cover for months liao and let the money roll. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Having contract is necessary for the company to carying on business.  Every contract means they can get contract loan financing.  All this becos they want to do good for the company and share fruit with sharehodlers?  NO! NO! NO! So long as the company can operate, they can get they fat pay.  Good times, pay themselves much more.  Bad time pay themselves the same. So they will make the company go on until it cannot tahan.  But no matter what, they dont need to tahan anything.  Maybe just cannot tahan multi-dollar bank account not growing even more.
