One broker call a buy TP slight below $0.8, other brokers say sell TP $0.6 or even $0.5, so price will jump up jump down. Is good news for trader like me. But you should see now US bull is tiring, STI bull also  running out of  power  soon, so suggest take profit if you can, or wait to buy at below $0.7 if US lao sai again

There is no catalyst for genting to move up ....just short term play to squeeze shortist.
Longer term its earnings are an issue ( esp VIP visitors) .  Jeju is a long shot.
Interesting to see its price once this cycle is over.

but anyway Genting is a gambling stock . technically they should be making $$ in good or bad years as long people go to their casino to gamble..

can' t seems to find anyting on other operating expenses of 101mio . very weird but could it be for Jeju project?

Write offs, including impairment of receiveables, n  exchange loss amt to abt 150 mil.    See them turning the corner soon.  Perhaps time to re-enter  n bet for upturn over next 12 mths.  Also, recalled that the bad-debt writing off programme wld end after 2Q16.  If confirmed, prospects for the new FY shd be better.  N if (a big if) they can improve their VIP segment (without running into  so much bad debt all over again) then cld be even better.

 Alert Admin 		Frankly I'm pretty happy if they maintain this 1.5cts payout for the next few years at least. Things and the global economy will rebound eventually - and paying more div to make minorities less aggrieved is infinitely better than making losses due to high salaries and expenses and leaving minorities with nothing. Anyway I bought a lot at around 40-60cts and sold most above $2 so this is a sentimental hold for me at this levels.

CASINO operator Genting Singapore posted a net loss attributable to ordinary shareholders of S$7.75 million for the final quarter ended December 2015 from a profit of S$89 million a year ago.

Revenue slipped 14 per cent to S$547 million from S$638 million a year ago.

It made a quarterly loss per share of 0.06 Singapore cent versus earnings per share of 0.73 Singapore cent a year back.

Gaming revenue in the period under review slipped 19 per cent to S$374 million whereas for the full year, it was down 21 per cent to S$1.75 billion.

This input above sum up the coming qtrs that Genting is going to face....worst maybe expected.
Honestly there is NO catalyst for growth ...JeJU Korea....lucky if it breakeven in 2 yrs ( hope so )
Japan licence....talk another 3 yrs and then build ?  Wonder what is the driving force .....certain to have lack of visitors esp VIP as Sands and Macau is still
stronger so far. There cash on hand is a much needed MUST for casino business (if no cash genting wld be in big trouble )
Wld not be surprise genting may hit new low....of 50 as one reported.  Do be careful w this counter.

Results is definately bad. Q4 is a lost.
Earnings per share dropped a lot  ....the dividend change from 1c to 1.5c is really a laughing matter.
Does management think this would shut up the seniors and offer then a good lunch....and then the mgt continue to sit down and draw their high pay ?
I think this round of meeting shld have many who wld shoot them down.
