Good or Bad news ? danger      ( Date: 04-Aug-2020 07:44) Posted: CAPITALAND on Monday said that it and other shareholders have,  through a series of transactions, divested an  aggregate 40 per cent equity stake in Guangzhou Kai Ke Xing Mao Real Estate Development (GKK) to an unrelated purchaser for  RMB395.7 million (S$78.6 million). CapitaLand held its stake in GKK through its wholly-owned subsidiary, CLC Investment Seven. GKK owns a mixed-use site located in Huangpu district in China ' s Guangzhou province plans had been drawn to develop an integrated development  comprising offices, retail, apartments, serviced residences and low-density strata-office components. Through  the transaction, CapitaLand has unlocked capital for reinvestment and GKK has secured  an additional capital partner for its project, the announcement said.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	when their subsidaries results are having profit drop by 80 to 90%, do you think this counter will go up knowing the result will be affected by 90% in profit....... All investors think the same way....before the result better run first to see how bad the result is then decide whether is worth to invest this again. At the meantime there are so many stocks with opportunity to invest like medical, tech why take the risk...... So today will be selling day.......no I say but just follow the market fear.......for not only this counter but cross the board properties section......look at CDL......this is the leader leading to drop below $8 soon.......back to the olden day of 6 to 7 dollars mark......

In fact, it will lead to short squeeze. Look at Keppel DC reit, u think short sell will be effective? There is shorts on a company for reasons. People dont short a company for no reason. If the company is solid, the share price goes up. Short have no impact.

So all are selling due to poor result, the only day will stable and get the price up is the day start trading after the result is out after 3 Aug. That will be buy on bad new and look forward the next six month finanical result after the reopen of economy. So selling will continue on tomorrow which should be the sell day before the 3 Aug result day. Do not forget Friday is a PH, seldom traders want to hold over the 3days long weekend.

Thanks When short seller need to buy back - following day lowered bid Price and ask price is a set up by BBs before market opens. When the naive start to panic sell, they sell within the &lsquo set range&rsquo the offer is quickly picked up by the shortist. Buying will stop when they have fulfilled their short play. This analysis only works if you can hold the stock in a longer term as noted below the short selling tend to ' disturb' the expected runs. Apology for lack of a better term to use. In a longer term it will rise again for sure. In my view -short selling is like a gamble ie not investing. The gamble often lead into losses but short sellers still want to try their luck to win some. Once a vaccine is confirmed, even property prices will starting shooting skywards, largely due to the high amounts of liquidity. I dont see any difference when local banks issue script div or cash div.
