I' ve been reading share junction regularly but haven' t been a member till today. My Background: I first invested in stocks in 2009. My very first stock was Macquarie Infra S Trust. I' ve been through the entire journey with APPT since the conversion. I don' t have a lot of experience but I' ll share my two cents worth.  I' ve liquidated ALL my APPT holdings. Before that, I caught a falling knife because I was greedy for the dividends. Should have listened to my mom (she' s tradtional but her 6th sense was right). If it' s too good to be true, it probably is. Bought: 10,000   - $0.445 20,000 - $0.39  20,000 - $0.36  All in all, I' ve lost about $10k. Certainly no where close to your $70k, but I' m also in the red for other stocks. It doesn' t phase me, because I know it' s natural market cycle. But I' ve decided to liquidate APPT and cut lost for a few reasons: 1) After XD, price is likely to fall to $0.15. (Taking into acct that DIv is 0.0162) That' s if you' re lucky. Tradtionally after XD, it falls even further like the rest of the people have mentioned. 2) If next year Div is 0.012 for the whole year, then at 10% Div, Price should be roughly at $0.12. I rather get 7% in Reits with actual buildings than I can see with my own eyes such as ESR (Discloser, I' m vested) 3) It' s anyone' s guess how general stock markets will go. But it' s likely that it' s not going to be a pretty sight. I stand to be corrected. 4) I trusted stock market a lot vs its SUPER volatile, ultra distant relative: Cryptocurrency. But after APPT, I decided that It' s no different. We' re not privy to information and we' re at the mercy of the big boys and institutional investors. 5) My $10k that' s left from APPT, I' ve used to buy Altcoins (cryptocurrency), it has the potential to 2x, 5x, 10x easily. At least I go in with open eyes  6) My decision to go into a risky investment is because crypto is close to market bottom. There' s pretty much one direction, UP Nobody can tell you what to do, you need to make the decision for yourself. As the saying goes, DYODD. It already happaned, the only way forward is to learn from experience. Experience is a hard teacher but it' s a good teacher. One of the lesson being: don' t put all your eggs in one basket. My divestments: Stocks, SSB, crypto, fixed D, gold, and rare items Wish you well bro, hope my 2 cents help abit SGGOODLIFE

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Looks like Brainfoo is genuine case and not troll.. I do hope you can take the advice of some of the bros here. Cut loss and switch to better counters. Stop the bleeding first by cutting lose.  I know is painful but if u hold on to a falling knife like AsianTV, u are going to bleed even more later and perhaps until no more blood left. Stop the bleeding by cutting loss on AsianTV.. look for good undervalued  companies  that are growing..    like ESR  reits that pay good dividends to help you through the initial phase as the dividends may provide the basic support. ESR Reits is also expanding and thus provide the chance of share price appreciation. Hope 3 years down the road, you will be happy that u cut ur ties with AsianTV just like how I cut my ties with Pacific Radiance 3 years ago. Today I am a happy investors having nearly lose all my capital on Pacific Radiance 3 years ago and I am very fortunate i endure the pain and sold my Pacific Radiance 3 years ago. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	then cut loh.. its up to you, if you decided to cut jsut do it. no point keep what-ifs on the forums or with AK71.  personally if i were you i would have cut it long ago. later another wave of sell down you will lamant again why 0.16X not selling. btw i am vesting at 0.16X i expect it to drop much more after XD.  just make up your mind and excute your plan. dont let other sway you around..... its YOUR money! x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hihi you there please? sheerluck      ( Date: 18-Nov-2018 12:52) Posted: I am pretty sure, reducing debt is not in their mind because first the spare cash that it generates cannot do much and second they are trust manager and not business founders/owners.  Maintaining the trust as it is is good enough for them to keep earning their manager fee.  Even if one day, the trust collapse, they will simply manage another trust.  Also their comments on their debt/cash management going forward said it all. Actually I think the share buyback hint might be a good idea now.  Previously cash is about 10% of market cap.  After this drop, cash is about 30% of market cap.  So a 10% share buyback will now cost them only one-third of their cash.  Ofc it will not be long-term solution to their situation but at least it offers some relieve to their suffering shareholders. lukewong82      ( Date: 18-Nov-2018 12:30) Posted: share buyback is carried out best with spare $$$.. share buyback when the company is in tons of debts is not a wise decision i feel. The cash should be be handled conservatively and try to par down as much debt as possible. I dun think buying back some shares will help with the Distribution per unit share. If cash not carefully managed,  it will end up like Hyflux
