x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Bro, on a plain valuation basis yes it looks expensive and it' s even harder to valuate QT in SGX since biotech sector is meaningless ( BioSensor is a much more mature business in my opinion). if you make a peer comparison with US Biotech, that' s the premium investors are willing to pay for fast growing company. So QT valuation is speculative but not excessive at the moment, considering that they already are bringing products to market, have a distribution network in place and book revenues. Many US biotech counters currently trades at P/S > 50 just based on their pipeline...       sheerluck      ( Date: 15-Nov-2014 11:34) Posted: While sale in Asia has risen sale in US has dropped 13%.   Overall sale units and revenue remained pretty flat. In term of taeover, let' s look at the EV/Rev which is 15 which is 50% over the average of 10. If QTV has potential, this quarter results isn' t showing it yet. The recent dropped in share price also coincide with the ending of the lock-up period for investors.   Whether it is them who are dumping or retailers selling as a precaution to that, we don' t know. QTV is still young as a listed coy.   I will give it another quarter to see how sale units, average price and reveune perform.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	this co is strong in peripheral, read somewhere there are few competitors in that segment.  My suspicion is peripheral is not as big a mkt as coronary angioplasty. As pointed out earlier, the manufacturers of catheters for coronary angioplasty are many as this an  ancient technique, and pricing is also  extremely sensitive and low. For QT to be successful in this area, there  must be volume, huge volume to bring down the  costs of each cathether, and margins are razor thin.          The saving grace for QT is their chocolate innovation which may or may not be bought in by the docs using this as a safer coronary angioplasty cathether.        In the heart area, the arteries are very big and strong, hence they may not need that additional cushion  offered by chocolate.      We really have to watch and see. On the  one hand, if chocolate is well accepted at higher price,  QT could reap better  margins and hence become a likely takeover  target.        If it can' t, then  QT' s present price is already far too high, and it could go significantly lower. We are at a crossroads, and as Sheerluck pointed out (which I agree), let' s look at their performance before we jump in.

Now the numbers came out are just report for peripheral market segment. The coronary market segment just kicked off last month if I'm not wrong. Coronary market is much much larger than peripheral! If both PTA and PTCA numbers put together plus China and European market penetration, I believe will be higher many folds! Look forward to the future!
