Actually if they fix the KPIs everything will be very different, admin pple act on KPIs their bonuses are more important. Seldom see people act on conscience any more. |

When Blumont and other soh chee wen linked shares were rising steadily starting from 2012, from 3 cents, to 6 cents, to 30 cents, to 50 cents, to $1, to $1.30, then to the sky, many in the broking community already knew datuk Soh was behind it. Did SGX know about it too? Did SGX do anything to curb its rise back then before it finally blew up? |

SGX claims that the change next year to min 20c/share with lot size reduced to 100shares is to curb speculation with repects to the crash of (blumont/asiasons/liongold) last year.... I think it will further increase speculation. And all these changes will bring more benefits to SGX. Why do i say so...... I show 3 scenerios... PENNY STOCK For eg: stock A trading at $0.02/share. For 1 lot, you pay = $0.02 x 1000 = $20 Next year on, this stock will be trading at $0.2/share(after shares consoldiation), with lot size reduced to 100shares For 1 lot, you pay = 0.2 x 100 = $20 There is no change for penny stock..... u still pay the same for 1lot.... BB can still manipulate easily... MID CAP STOCK For eg: stock B trading at $0.5/share. For 1 lot, you pay = $0.5 x 1000 = $500 Next year on, with lot size reduced to 100shares. For 1 lot, you pay = $0.5 x 100 = $50 Woh... BB can manipute this mid-cap stock like a PENNY STOCK !!! He only need to pay $50 / lot (used to be $500) BLUE CHIP For eg, Stock C = $10/share. For 1 lot, you pay = $10 x 1000 = $10000 Next year on, with lot size reduced to 100shares. For 1 lot, you pay = $10 x 100 = $1000 BB can manipute this stock more easily... he only need to pay $1000 / lot (used to be $10000) Expect more movements in blue chip next year...

Bloody SGX barking up the wrong trees. If you read the Edge reports on the Blumont saga, when the CAD went to check Blumont and Liongold office, they didnt know who Datuk SOH CHEE WEN was!!! They STUMBLED upon a character name soh chee wen. Oh my god! Where have these so called regulators been all these years?

SGX cannot make it, we all feel shameful that the highest volumes daily are clocked by highly dubious penny stocks. . There is empty pride that we have top notch corporate governance amd best practices in place at the high levels in the companies, but in the marketplace a totally different picture is painted. Bbs run around rampantly without any control, price fixing is done almost everyday. For us value investors, we just want more participation, more liquidity in the market, more support for companies to obtain funding. Not increasing piles of rules and regulations and now posting of collateral? What will happen to the market? |

Possibly KPIs and scorecards badly written by administrators. If the top mgt gets bonuses for doing certain things, they will continue to excel in doing those things. But noone really look closely at whether it' s the right thing to do. |

This stock is obviously for insiders like ah hock to cash out, as they hold too many Tritech shares that they cannot sell. Lots of things that SGX does are very superficial, they dont work, but the CEO appears to be doing something. Like the zero lunch time. Can SGX honestly say it has improved trading? What works in Wallstreet may not work in Asia. Dont just copy all those standard practices on Wallstreet and quickly announce we are world class. HFT anyone? |
