UltraGreen.ai conducts share buyback of one million shares CEO &lsquo remains confident&rsquo on company&rsquo s long-term strategy

UltraGreen.ai (SGX:ULG) announced that it has purchased one million shares from the open market on Aug 24 for a total consideration of US$712,230.39 ($904,861.92).

This translates to an average price of 71.22 US cents. The company conducted the share buyback transaction at a price range of 65.5 US cents and 73 US cents.

Following this latest transaction, UltraGreen owns a total of 2,301,100 treasury shares, which translates to 0.209% of the company&rsquo s total issued shares.

On the other hand, UltraGreen&rsquo s CEO, Ravinder Sajwan, remains confident in the company&rsquo s long-term strategy, competitive position and prospects.

In the announcement dated Aug 24, Sajwan mentioned that UltraGreen has been operating in the fluorescence-guided surgery for more than a decade despite being a relatively young public company.

UltraGreen listed on the Singapore Exchange back on Dec 3, 2025, at an IPO price of US$1.45. With the recent regulatory approval obtained by new entrants, UltraGreen&rsquo s share price has witnessed a sharp decline of around 50% from its IPO price.

&ldquo Our commercial response will be calibrated to how new entrants ultimately come to market, including their pricing, distribution approach and customer proposition. Until those commercial plans become clearer, we believe it would be premature to speculate on their potential market impact or the specific actions UltraGreen may take in response,&rdquo he states.

Sajwan adds that UltraGreen continues to see significant opportunities for the fluorescence-guided surgery market to expand further.

&ldquo I have been purchasing shares in UltraGreen and intend to continue increasing my personal investment in the company. I believe this demonstrates my confidence in the long-term value and prospects of the business and aligns my interests even more closely with those of our shareholders,&rdquo Sajwan says.

Shares of UltraGreen closed 8.5 US cents higher, or 13.39% up at 72 US cents on Aug 24.

Seems one of the institution, not the short sellers, dumped the stock last week on the perceived losing of its moat, creating a windfall for the retail investors this week, I guess!

 Alert Admin 		apparently the mkt reacts quite postively to the assurance made by the ceo last evening

pre market suggesting a huge gap up, wether it willl sustain that. movement is anybody' s guess

i have a feeling that shortists will be burnt badly.

I believe there are some SGX rules on how many shares they can buy per day from matket so that they dont exceed or dominate the market price. Basically, prevent company from manipulating the price.

Why allow rubbish stock to IPO here with big name like ex-CEO of excgNGE, LEE relative  ,,, CAD, SGX please check ,,Amanda Tan of DBS Group Research has downgraded UltraGreeen.ai from " buy" to " hold"   in her Aug 21 note, where she has more than halved her target price to 80 US cents from US$1.95.
