ISDN tried to rebound but faced selling by increased Shortists selling of 676,000 shares as compared to yesterday selling of 542,500 shares resulting in  ISDN closing  slightly lower at 0.685 in view of AEM grinding lower towards its close.

As long as ISDN does not violate its Short Term Pivot Close at 0.65, its daily price action may still have the potential of grinding much higher in due course viewing its strong Intermediate/Long Term Solid Fundamentals signing with its Intermediate/Long Term Fundamentals with strong support close at 0 54/0.47 respectively.

In the Short Term, ISDN' s another layer of    recent carved out bottom support  at 0.62 will still hold its own grounds as long as it is not violated.

Violating 0.65 close followed by 0.62 will potentially portend a sell off to test its Intermediate Term Pivot Resistance at 0.54.

Due diligence warranted.

$ISDN(I07.SI) in response to some quacks SJ post on ISDN' s cash flow.
&zwnj
While some investors remain concerned about ISDN' s working capital position, the increase in receivables and inventories must be viewed in the context of the Group' s exceptional growth.

ISDN delivered record 1H2026 revenue of S$253.6 million, up 19.1% year-on-year, while profit attributable to shareholders surged more than 700% to S$10.4 million.

The increase in trade receivables was primarily driven by higher sales activity, as the Group operated at a significantly higher monthly revenue run-rate compared to FY2025.

In other words, receivables increased because sales were accelerating, not because business conditions were deteriorating. More importantly, the quality of these receivables is supported by the Company' s disclosure that approximately S$36 million was collected from customers by 31 July 2026, representing almost 30% of outstanding trade receivables at 30 June 2026.

This demonstrates that the receivables are being converted into cash and should be viewed as a consequence of growth rather than a sign of weakening fundamentals.

As long as AEM can hold above and maintain  its Short Term Pivot Close of 8.98  for the next 2 days of trading sessions, even though it may have been violated hitting a morning low of 8.95 today,  its daily price action  may be the start of a technical rebound to consolidate and base out a carved out a Short Term Bottom.

AEM being the tech leader  price action will then lend support to  ISDN to get underpinned by its Short Term Pivot Support Close at 0.65 which was being tried and  tested today to touch a low of 0.66 but  to close steadier  at 0.695 today even in the face of muted Shortists' selling of 542,500 shares compared  to yesterday selling of 1,590,000 shares amidst  weak contra players continued  selling  against Long Term Investors' Dip Buying  Strategy on Dollar Costing in the  Short Term  Opportunity to accumulate buying at the 0.665 level  for a Buy and Hold Strategy to navigate Short Term Volatilities in view of its  Technicals basis 4 hours indicator chart  into already oversold overzone besides being dividend payt day.

Dividend payment day can create unusual trading behaviour. Some shareholders may have received the dividend and be comfortable adding shares, while short-term/contra players who bought earlier may sell into strength.
If long-term investors are dip-buying, they can absorb the shares being released by weak contra holders and short sellers.

INTERESTING WRITEUP BY CEDRIC YANG
&zwnj
Are you prepared for the next great leap?
&zwnj
ISDN Holdings recently posted its 1H 2026 financial results, delivering a record half-year revenue of S$253.6 million and a net profit surge to S$10.4 million. Traditionally, the first half is the quieter period for the group&mdash 1Q typically starts slow before momentum builds in 2Q, leading into the peak activity of 3Q ahead of year-end seasonality.
&zwnj

With a strong first half in the books, here are four core catalysts that could drive long-term value for patient shareholders.
&zwnj

1. The Semiconductor Cycle and AI Infrastructure
&zwnj

ISDN&rsquo s industrial automation capabilities in the semiconductor backend represent a high-leverage growth engine. Unlike the severe 2021&ndash 2024 downcycle, global chip manufacturers are locking in long-term capital expenditure plans extending toward 2030. CapEx flow from front-end fabs and tier-1 OSATs naturally cascades down to tier-2 and tier-3 equipment and component suppliers like ISDN. Beyond traditional semiconductor assembly, ISDN is increasingly plugged into AI application rollouts, edge computing, and data center supply chains&mdash areas facing structural supply constraints well into the late 2020s.
&zwnj

2. High-Margin Renewable Energy Cash Flows
&zwnj

Management has built a renewable energy portfolio as a structural counterweight to cyclical industrial automation cycles. Developing mini-hydropower plants in Southeast Asia is not something competitors can replicate overnight ISDN has accumulated execution experience and track record in this sector since 2015. Global energy security imperatives and regional decarbonization goals continue to push governments toward clean power. With the 4th and 5th Indonesian hydro plants (Lau Biang 2 and 3) reaching completion, lower-margin construction income will give way to high-margin, recurring electricity sales, boosting steady baseline cash generation for the group.
&zwnj

3. Structural Tailwinds in Industrial Automation
&zwnj

The core automation business sits at the intersection of several multi-decade trends: aging demographics creating labor shortages, supply chain reshoring driven by geopolitical realignment, and strict industrial sustainability targets. ISDN has expanded its position beyond simple component distribution into a vertically integrated solutions provider, embedding proprietary software, industrial IoT, and edge-AI integration directly into client manufacturing lines.
&zwnj

4. Earnings Expectations & Valuation Scenarios
&zwnj

Assuming no severe macroeconomic shocks or foreign exchange volatility, ISDN could be on track to deliver full-year net profits around S$23 million to S$25 million (building on S$10.4 million from 1H and an estimated S$13 million to S$15 million in 2H).
With approximately 455 million outstanding shares, full-year EPS would land around 5.1 to 5.5 Singapore cents:
Base Case (12x&ndash 15x P/E): S$0.61 to S$0.83 fair value range.
Bull Case / Growth Rerating (18x&ndash 20x P/E): S$0.92 to S$1.10 target range.
If the company sustains a conservative 15% to 20% annualized earnings growth trajectory through 2028&mdash backed by its doubled order book and expanding clean energy cash flows&mdash longer-term target valuations between S$1.30 and S$1.60 become plausible as earnings compound.
&zwnj

For investors taking a multi-year view, the combination of structural tech exposure and growing infrastructure income offers an attractive risk-reward profile. I look forward to the day when the fruits are ripe, we could perhaps meet up for a celebratory drink. Omnium optime.

Due diligence warranted.

NB:

As an Intermediate/Long Term Investor and with ISDN' s dividend payt day today, I decided to pick up some cheap ISDN parcel at the 0.665 level to add to my existing CASH/SRS Intermediate Long Term  Investment Portfolios.

What' s interesting is that both AEM and ISDN are weak today, so some of ISDN' s decline may be part of the broader semiconductor/tech weakness rather than ISDN-specific selling.

AEM  grinding down today  inevitably dragged ISDN today as last week' s contra players decided to cut losses after ISDN broke down below its 0.70 psychological support with the potential of testing its Daily Pivot Support at 0.65 in the face of increased Shortists selling of  1,590,000    shares fueling the fall further to touch an intraday low 0.67 compared to Friday' s selling of 452,200 shares.

ISDN' s 4 hours technical indicator  already well into overly oversold zone of ' 0' and ready for an intraday technical rebound any time soon as manifested by its Stochastic/RSI.

This Company&rsquo s 707% Profit Jump Isn&rsquo t the Real Story.

Look Instead at Its Automation Momentum and Hydropower Cash-Flow Growth

By Leong Chan Teik

ISDN Holdings' 1H2026 results may mark a turning point in the company&rsquo s earnings profile.

Its core industrial automation business is growing at its fastest pace in years, while two new hydropower plants are close to commissioning and should add another layer of recurring cash flow.

The headline 707% jump in PATMI is eyecatching but it exaggerates the underlying improvement because the comparison period was depressed by foreign-exchange losses and inventory provisions.

After allowing for that, however, the operating improvement still looks substantial.

The non-cash and unrealised FX losses in 1H2025 related to the hydropower business in Indonesia.

Teo Cher Koon, Group MD, ISDN
For analysing ISDN' s underlying growth, a better comparison is: 1H25 core PATMI ~S$4.5m &rarr 1H26 PATMI S$10.4m.

That' s still well over 100% growth, which is impressive.

In 1H2026, other operating expenses fell by S$6.5m, principally because FX losses fell by S$5.2m and inventory-obsolescence provisions fell by S$1.4m.

What matters:

The core automation business is showing a genuine inflection. Automation is 94% of group revenue, and revenue increased 31.9% to S$238 million while gross profit increased 33.9%.

More importantly, the rebound was broad based: China automation revenue rose 26.3%, while Southeast Asia rose 53%. Singapore was +57.9%, Vietnam +46.6% and Malaysia +19%.

A good forward indicator is the order book:

It has more than doubled from a year earlier, with ISDN offering capabilities extending from components into controls, software, cloud and system integration, allowing it to assemble solutions according to customer requirements.

Managing director CK Teo said these are firm purchase orders with an average delivery period of around three months.

Customer rolling forecasts were also still running at roughly twice last year' s levels.

Momentum accelerated in 2Q. ISDN reported 1Q revenue of S$113.7 million and PATMI of S$3.69 million.

Subtracting those numbers from the half-year result implies S$139.9 million revenue and S$6.7 million PATMI in 2Q.

In other words, revenue increased about 23% sequentially while shareholder profit rose about 81%.

Hydropower is nearing the point where the economics improve dramatically.

Renewable-energy revenue fell 52% because construction of Lau Biang 2 and 3 is nearing completion.

Excluding low-margin construction income, the existing operating plants generated an 86% gross margin in 1H26.

Management still expects Lau Biang 2 and 3 to commission in 2026, lifting recurring net cash income from roughly S$8 million to S$14 million annually.

Thus FY2027 should be the first year in which investors see something approaching the full gush of hydropower benefit.

ISDN' s 3 existing operational power plants and additional, Lau Biang 2 and Lau Biang 3 are being constructed in North Sumatra, with completion this year.

When asked about sustainability, MD Teo Cher Koon said the projects operate under 25-year PPAs (power purchase agreements), after which the contracts can be renegotiated.

He said renewable energy is a high-capex business with strong, recurring income" .

Asked whether ISDN might separate its hydropower business, Mr Teo said the company is now exploring the idea more seriously and hopes something could materialise within one to two years.

Cash gush in July:

As for cash conversion, ISDN produced S$26.8 million of operating cash before working-capital movements, but final operating cash flow was only S$1.0 million.

Some of this is timing-related:

ISDN subsequently collected about S$36m from customers by end-July.

As at end-June, the balance sheet had cash of S$66 million against bank borrowings of S$81.3 million.

Takeaway:

The most important development isn' t the 707% PATMI growth.

It is the combination of 31.9% automation growth + slightly higher automation margins + a more-than-doubled order book + accelerating earnings, contributing to CGS International' s target price of $1.05.

While the industrial automation business has moved into a stronger growth mode, two additional mini-hydropower plants will contribute high-margin, long-duration cash generation.

The hydropower business will start receiving S$14 million cash income a year, up from S$8 million.

However, ISDN has not said how much of that S$14 million is attributable to ISDN shareholders after minority interests at its Aenergy subsidiary and project level.

Due diligence warranted.

AEM is supporting at its Short Term Pivot Support Close at 8.98.

As long as Aem' s  8.98 is not violated with a close, its daily price action may have the potential to grind up higher in due course to break above its recent All Time High at 11.54 with a first initial target between 13 and 13.50 to be tested first.

So far to date, AEM' s Intermediate/Long Term Pivot Support Closes at 7.10/5.85 have been supporting very strongly viewing its future  earnings fundamentals.

Likewise ISDN' s Daily  Short Term Pivot Support Close at 0.65 as long as it is not violated will also have to potential to break above its previous All Time High of 0.85 into Uptrend Blue Sky in due course as ISDN with my first target of minimum 1.14 before any corrective pullback may take shape.

Besides ISDN  has the tendency to be influenced by the  the market direction of AEM  in the Short Term.

Also, ISDN' s Intermediate/Long Term Closes are very strongly well supported at 0.54 and 0.47 as both its Intermediate/Long Term Technicals have already synchronized with its company' s Fundamentals.

Therefore, Intermediate,/Long Term Strong Hands Investors doing dip buying into weakness when Short Term Technical Indicators are  deeply oversold will be better for choice to navigate Short Term Volatilities.

A)Here is a simple, straightforward translation of what the price action means for retail investors heading into next week: The Big Picture: A Tug-of-War Think of last week like a fierce game of tug-of-war between buyers and sellers. On Monday, heavy selling pressure hit the stock, but buyers fought back hard, pushing the price up to 77 cents by Tuesday. However, by Friday, some of those gains faded, and the stock settled back down to 71.5 cents. Because the price gave back its quick spike, neither side has won yet. It is not a runaway rocket ship, but it hasn' t crashed either. The Two " Traffic Lines" to Watch Next Week Keep an eye on these specific price zones to see which side is winning control:
Strategic Comparison: Short-Term Trading vs. Long-Term Holding

ISDN SHORT SELLING DATAS FOR THE WEEK  17TH AUGUST TO 21ST AUGUST  2026

Shortists          Close
2609400 17  0.715
591400    18  0.77
358400    19  0.765
452200    20  0.745
435900    21  0.715

Total 4.4473 million shares

Short sell volume
Close:

1. The 17 Aug number is the big one.

2.6094 million short shares on 17 Aug is dramatically higher than the following four days.

Yet the share price did not collapse &mdash it closed at $0.715 and then jumped to $0.770 the next day.

That is actually an encouraging sign from a price-action perspective.

It suggests that the market had substantial selling pressure but buyers absorbed it.

And the broader price data confirms that ISDN had already been moving strongly:

It closed at $0.645 on Aug 7 and reached $0.715 on Aug 17.

2. The short volume fell sharply after 17 Aug.

Sequence:

2.61m &rarr 591k &rarr 358k &rarr 452k &rarr 436k

That' s a substantial reduction.

This is more interesting than simply saying " short sellers are attacking ISDN."

The short-selling pressure appears to have peaked on the 17th, rather than steadily increasing throughout the week.

3. But there is a warning sign on 21 Aug.

The price went:

$0.715 &rarr $0.770 &rarr $0.765 &rarr $0.745 &rarr $0.715

So the entire 18 Aug spike has now been given back.

That means it    cannot yet be called that  this a confirmed short squeeze.

The key question for next week is whether $0.715 close to a 0.705 low holds.

Levels would be watched  approximately:

$0.715: important immediate support to a 0.705 intraday low on 21/8,  with $0.70  psychologically important secondary support.

$0.745&ndash $0.77: resistance zone.

$0.77: a particularly important level because the stock reached it on 18 Aug but failed to hold it.

If ISDN can return above $0.745 and then break $0.77 with strong volume, it will become considerably more positive.

That would suggest that the sellers are losing control.

Conversely, a decisive break below $0.70 would  might prompt a downside  test of 0.65 Short Term Pivot Support.

The really interesting part is that the 4.4473m shares of reported short-selling over these five sessions have a volume-weighted price of roughly $0.729.

But don' t interpret that as " 4.4473m shares are short at $0.729."

It cannot conclude that from daily short-sale volume alone.

What can be said  is that there was heavy short-selling activity around this price region, particularly on 17 Aug, and the share price subsequently managed to trade at $0.77.

That is why it can be  described the week' s data as neutral-to-mildly bullish from a short-selling perspective, but not yet a squeeze signal.

Also, ISDN' s longer-term price movement has been quite strong:

The stock was around $0.38 at the beginning of 2026 and reached as high as $0.82 over the past year.

The biggest question for next week would be:

Are the shortists increasing their volume again if ISDN approaches $0.75&ndash $0.77?

Due diligence warranted.

REASONS THE S& P 500 COULD KEEP RALLYING THROUGH YEAR END BY A 3RD PARTY ANALYST ON 20TH AUGUST 2026

Key Points:

The S& P 500 heads toward Q4 with historical seasonality and strong corporate earnings providing a potentially favorable backdrop.

Earnings growth, Federal Reserve policy and continued AI infrastructure spending are among the biggest factors to watch through year-end.

Market breadth remains broadly constructive, but rate uncertainty and lingering summer volatility could still shape the next move.

The S& P 500 is set up for a great year, and there are still gains to come.

Seasonally, Q4 is the strongest of the year, typically rising 80% of the time, and there are other factors in play suggesting this year will follow suit.

To begin, the onset of Q4 marks the end of the typically volatile summer trading season.

Smart-money investors who &ldquo sold in May and went away&rdquo are coming back and ready to get back into the market.

While September is usually weak, rising only about 50% of the time, October usually marks a bottom, rising about 60% of the time, with November and December to do the heavy lifting.

In the best years, the Santa Claus Rally caps the seasonal rally and keeps the market rising into the New Year.

Wicked Hot Earnings Growth Underpins This Rally.

Earnings drive any market, and they are growing at a robust pace in 2026, with strength expected to continue through the year&rsquo s end.

Coincidentally, JPMorgan Chase (NYSE: JPM) kicks off the Q3 reporting season in mid-October, coinciding with the seasonal bottom indicated by the data.

As it stands, the Q2 results reflect a massive disconnection between the market and reality:

Fears are valid, but the facts are clear&mdash the S& P 500 has hurdles, but profitability is on the rise.

S& P 500 earnings growth topped 50% in Q2, outperforming the consensus estimate by nearly 3000 basis points, and there is no reason to think growth is going to slow in the current quarter.

The more likely scenario is that the S& P outperforms the mid-August consensus of about 27.5% by a wide margin and provides solid Q4 guidance.

Energy is driving the out performance.

High oil prices are boosting earnings, with some reporting about 150% year-over-year growth, such as Exxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM). The caveat is that this is not an isolated event.

Energy prices are still high, good for energy stocks, but the core driver is the AI boom, which is still accelerating.

NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA), as the leader, posted 140% year-over-year non-GAAP earnings-per-share growth in its latest reported quarter, while revenue rose 85% the earnings tailwind remains strong.

The FOMC Is Unlikely to Hike Rates.

As scary as high energy prices and inflation are, the FOMC is unlikely to hike interest rates this year.

Oil prices are a key driver of inflation, and the FOMC has little control over them.

The best they can do is impair business activity with higher interest rates, hoping to curb oil demand, but they are unlikely to do that, given the economic data.

The economy isn&rsquo t in danger, but the latest reads should give the committee pause.

Labor markets, the Fed' s other mandate, are still expanding, but tepidly, and could easily tip into contraction.

Retail sales figures are more alarming, having contracted unexpectedly in the June/July period.

The more likely scenario is that the FOMC stands pat, adopting a wait-and-see posture, which is enough&mdash stability is as good as a rate cut if it allows businesses and enterprises to advance their strategies as planned.

The AI Boom:

It&rsquo s About to Boom Again.

The AI Boom is the core driver of this market, led by NVIDIA and supported by an expanding ecosystem of tech companies.

Within this, two fall catalysts stand out, starting with NVIDIA&rsquo s summer activity.

The company not only cemented its pipeline but also derisked the outlook by securitizing its GPUs.

The company removed risk from its own balance sheet while providing liquidity for its consumers&mdash a brilliant move if ever there was one.

More importantly, the earnings boost for many of the AI companies is back-ended. Last year&rsquo s spending, which was a hurdle, equates to next year&rsquo s revenue and earnings gains, which is a catalyst.

The second catalyst is Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD). It is launching initial deliveries of the MI450 line and Helios rack systems this quarter and will usher in the inference age, providing inference-focused GPU capacity at lower cost.

This is critical, as the inference infrastructure market is expected to grow rapidly and eventually surpass demand for model training.

AMD&rsquo s forward outlook does not reflect this opportunity.

Expect it to outperform, amplify the S& P 500 NVIDIA effect, and drive a bullish sentiment cycle for its stock and the broader ecosystem.

Market Breadth Is OK Catalysts for Improvements Are in Play
Market breadth is the final piece to this puzzle. The market breadth, as indicated by the Advanced/Decline Line and New Highs/New Lows index, is OK. It weakened somewhat over the summer but did not revert to indicate market distribution.

As it stands, the indicators are trending higher, showing relative strength, with a bullish bias and catalysts at hand. The likely outcome is that breadth improves as the summer season rolls into early fall, adding lift to the indices broadly. Indices, as of late August, such as the S& P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, NASDAQ Composite, and Russell 2000, reflect uptrends and generally bullish conditions despite the summer swoon.

S& P 500 remains in a strong uptrend as rising market breadth and bullish momentum support further gains.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

SNP 500 sold off    from  an  intraday high  of 7700 to hitting a low of 7639 before closing at 7641 within  Greed Zone of 57 to Neutral Zone of 52.

Daily Short Term    Pivot Support  Close of 7581.

Intermediate Term End Weekly Pivot Support  of 7190.

Long Term  End Monthly Pivot Close  Support at  6541.

MY DETAILED TECHNICAL

As long as SNP 500 does not breakdown below its Daily Short Term Pivot Support Close  at 7581 to date, its daily price action has the potential  to test its New Top Side High  between 8026 and 8250 in due course before its  next decent pull back may surface.

But any breakdown close below  7581 to date, SNP 500 may have the potential testing  its  End Weekly Intermediate Term Pivot Support Close at  7190.

Any break down close  below 7190 to  date, its daily price  may have the  potential to grind down lower to test its End Monthly Long Term  Pivot Support at 6541 which  may provide another layer of stronger  support to  portend a bigger rebound.

Any breakdown close below 6541 with any  rebound may  then portend  a  potential further  selloff to break below 4835 to portend a Secular Bear Mkt to perpetuate a bigger selloff to target 3492 but after any rebound may perpetuate its price action to fall further.

Due diligence warranted.

AEM grinding down lower still dragged ISDN to hit an intraday low at 0.705 before rebounding slightly to close weaker at 0.715 compared to yesterday' s close of 0.745 in the face of
Shortists'   slightly reduced selling of
435,900 shares compared to yesterday' s selling of 452,200 shares.

As long as ISDN' s Daily Pivot Support Close at 0.65 is not violated, its daily price action may have the potential of grinding much higher to retest its previous all time high between 0.82 and 0.85 before resetting its daily overbought condition.

Any breakup above 0.85 resistance level  may  prompt a BLUE SKY higher rally  in due course.

NB:

I have bought some qty today at 0.71 to add on to my existing SRS/CASH portfolio for a Buy and Hold Strategy viewing ISDN' s strong earnings potential for the next few quarters of reporting into 2027 as its Intermediate/Long Term Technicals are still intact to date.

To me as a long term investor my " ADD ON" Buying is Basis My Risk Reward Strategy for an Intermediate/Long term horizon and not for the faint hearted but having to navigate any Short Term Volatilities.

Due diligence warranted.

ISDN after hitting an intraday high at 0.805 was sold down following AEM' s slide bro close weaker nearing the low of intraday day  with  ISDN being dragged down as well hitting    an intraday low of  0.730 before recovering slightly to close lower than yesterday' s close of 0.765  in the face of slightly more aggressive Shortists' sales of 452,200 shares    against yesterday sales of 358,400.

As long as ISDN does not violate its Daily Pivot Support Close at 0.65 to date, its daily price action has the potential to retest its overhead previous all time highs between 0.82 and 0.85 before it will potentially reset its overbought daily    condition before resuming its Short Term  Uptrend viewing its recent solid 1st half earning result fundamentals  release on 14th August 2026 to break above 0.85 into Blue Sky Upside in due course to target my  Fibonacci  Extension of 1.236% Price Target at 1.14 in due course.

Dip buying still continues to be better for choice  to date for strong hands Investors to navigate any Short Term Volatilities for the few quarters into 2027.

Another laggard small cap peers namely ISDN will be dragged up as well by AEM coming price rise as long as its  ISDN Short Term Pivot Support Close at 0.655 is not violated which will have the potential to grind up much higher to test its overhead previous all time high resistance between 0.82 and 0.85 before a minor pull back may may surface to reset its overbought daily  technical condition and thereafter to break upwards into Blue Sky as its Intermediate/Long Term Pivot Support Uptrend  Close remain intact up to date.
