Our Malaysian operations have turned around from a troubled 2014 to an almost break-even position. On a Group basis, we were in fact profitable at an operating level but were dragged down by the high level of provisions for non-performing loans (NPLs) and bond calls. It is however important to highlight that we have prudently provided for 88% of all known NPLs. For 2016, we are focused on recovery of our NPLs. At the same time, we intend to grow our business using Factoring as the main product offering to take us forward My interpretation: Company wrote down aggressively almost all the Non-Performing Loans. This will cause earnings to crash drastically. So at its low, company did a rights issue at $0.22. Many people were sad and disappointed with the company, and feeling hopeless, would throw or forfeit their rights. Then the chairman Lim scooped up a lot of cheap unwanted rights and now his shareholding reaches almost 60%. Very very smart move by Mr Lim.  Furthermore, the company has appointed a new CEO and going back to its roots of factoring business for SMEs. This is a right move IMHO.  All these corporate actions mean that the company is looking at a much brighter and profitable future !!! Stay tuned. I hope more people sell down and let me pick up more shares, as cheap as possible.
