SAKURA RESEARCH We are short iFast Corporation Ltd (SGX:AIY) and long UOB-Kay Hian (SGX:U10). iFast was a Covid19 darling, primed for correction and underperformance. Fly back down to below $1 share price. After months of analysis, we believe that iFast (SGX:AIY) operations and performance are fundamentally misunderstood by the public, that it cannot generate meaningful free cash flows, iFast balance sheet shows increasing stress, and that iFast intrinsic value is a fraction of its current market capitalization. We think that iFast is facing headwinds and negative trends in every main aspect of its business after COVID19 bump: 1) Struggling core Platform business with its operating profitability per AUA dropping to record lows amid intense competition in every market iFast operates. 2) Temporary revenue bump from Hong Kong ePension IT project (2023-2025), which should drop off starting 2026                  3) Goodwill impairment to be recognized from the pricey UK bank acquisition, which reported losses in 2022, 2023, and H1 2024. More cash infusions would be needed for the UK bank. More loans and bonds to be raised. 4) Aggressive revenue recognition, suspect total receivables growth, and possibly understated credit impairment.                                   5) Degrading adjusted operating cash flows (turned negative in Q1 2024). Very little free cash flow, barely enough to pay for annual Capital Expenditures and dividend. More loans and bonds to be raised. 6) Survival strategy of the Group to pay more of the operating expenses with overvalued equity to flatter its cashflows. 7) The balance sheet is increasingly in distress, with total liabilities skyrocketing by 955% since the end of 2021, while equity grew only 124% in the same timeframe. 8) Stagnant senior management team with traces of nepotism and suspect governance structures            FULL REPORT @ https://SakuraResearch.com/ Opinions Only.
