Vallianz has survived on its own, and completed 2 major financial restructuring deals. See my earlier postings. The 2 deals were done at a huge discount to the Face Value. These 2 one-off gains will be recognised in the upcoming FY result as they were completed in the 2H of the FY. In the announced 1H result, Vallianz is already profitable at the Ops Level. Hopefully 2H Ops result is much better, with savings in financing cost from the 2 financial restructuring deals (will not enjoy the full effect yet as just completed) plus record high OSV rates. Liquidity of the counter is the issue. Only when the price is higher, there will be higher liquidity. A wait and see game. Wait for more news articles to come out too. (I playing small small too)

Besides the expected substantial increase in NTA at month end FY result announcement, I do hope to see a much better recurring operating result in view OSV rate is at multi-years high. (please perform your own DD, and at current price, highly illiquid counter) |

Vallianz Holdings and PSC Corp hit by cyber attacks, minimal impact seen
Vallianz Holdings, an offshore and marine firm, said an unknown party has gained unauthorised access to its servers - the second Singapore-listed company to report such an incident in less than a week.
Just on Dec 23, foodstuffs and consumer goods maker PSC Corp said it encountered a cyber incident as well.
Both companies made their respective announcements via the Singapore Exchange website.
According to Vallianz on Dec 28, it has contained the incident with the help of external consultants and has reported the incident to " relevant authorities" .
Citing its preliminary assessment, Vallianz believes there is no significant impact on its business operations.
Similarly, in its announcement on Dec 23, PSC Corp said an unknown party gained unauthorised access to its servers.
The company, with the help of external consultants, was able to promptly restore access to the affected data via the backup systems.
" Consequently the impact on the group&rsquo s operations was minimal," says PSC Corp.
According to the company' s preliminary assessment, the attack does not have any material financial impact on its business.
PSC Corp says it has reported the Incident to the police and also the Personal Data Protection Commission Singapore.

Batteries, hydrogen fuel cells and hybrid propulsion technologies are increasingly considered viable for cutting or eliminating emissions from offshore and harbour vessels
    Vallianz Holdings head of engineering Wu Shengwei thinks these technologies should be applied to offshore support vessels and tugs to eliminate emissions from harbour, coastal and offshore operations.
He explains the latest applications of hydrogen fuel cells and batteries during an interview at Riviera&rsquo s Offshore Support Journal Conference, Asia 2024, held in Singapore in September. He also says there will be more opportunities to apply alternative fuels, such as LNG, ammonia or hydrogen, in newbuild OSVs as these fuels become available in the long term. Mr Wu says batteries energy density is improving and three types of hydrogen fuel cells can be applied offshore - proton-exchange membrane (PEM), solid oxide and molten carbonate. He thinks PEM fuel cells are most suitable for OSV applications due to the varying power, dynamic positioning requirements and need for instant power to boost operations.
