 Alert Admin 		AI is here to stay whether you like it or not as humans are forward looking. The downside is AI requires heavy investment which may not yield fast returns. SingTel has been one of the top insitutions buying for over a month, it' s a matter of time the price will rebound. Till then, good luck to your shorts.

They expect to &lsquo define more power-efficient methodologies that could advance any enterprise&rsquo s sustainability goals&rsquo  

THE regional data centre arm of  Singtel  :  Z74  -1.36%&rsquo s Digital InfraCo unit, Nxera, is exploring opportunities with Hitachi to develop data centres across Japan and potentially the wider Asia-Pacific region.

This comes as part of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between Singtel and Hitachi, both parties announced in a joint statement on Monday (Aug 26).

Aside from Nxera, Digital InfraCo&rsquo s portfolio includes Singtel&rsquo s graphics processing unit (GPU) cloud, as well as the group&rsquo s Paragon platform.
 

Singtel and Hitachi said their latest agreement expands on a partnership announced in June 2024 to  trial and integrate Paragon  with Hitachi&rsquo s artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

Under the August MOU, Hitachi will also explore using Singtel&rsquo s GPU-as-a-service (GPUaaS) for its internal AI applications and workloads.

This in turn would allow the Japanese multinational conglomerate to verify complementary Singtel-based benefits to enhance its digital technologies and solutions, such as high-performance machine learning and generative AI.
 

Singtel and Hitachi foresee the subsequent opportunity to &ldquo define more power-efficient methodologies that could advance any enterprise&rsquo s sustainability goals&rdquo .

Based on the results of Hitachi&rsquo s internal GPUaas verification, both companies may further explore co-creating enterprise-grade applications that combine Hitachi and Singtel&rsquo s technologies and platforms.

 Alert Admin 		i haven' t decided yet. it only occurred to me recently when i begin shorting singtel. so far i hv changed my mobile from gomo to giga and no problems. now is my bb...need to find a cheap and good 1 but i just realized that the $20.8/mth plan doesn' t come with free wireless router, add another $5 (x 12 mths) is still cheaper and better than my current 300mbps @ $32.9/mth. so i say bye bye to singtel 1st :)
