How to be happy, when you see the price drop 50 cents? it is like no dividend. But it is ok as long as keep for long term, don' t need to bother about price drop or up.

DBS CEO Piyush Gupta sells S$12.6 million worth of shares as DBS hits all-time high
DBS&rsquo shares have shot past the S$40 mark other major banks&rsquo shares have also rallied amid bright Q3 earnings results
OUTGOING DBS chief executive officer Piyush Gupta sold lots of his DBS shares on Nov 7 and 8, amid a bank rally that sent DBS shares past the S$40 mark.
In a bourse filing on Monday (Nov 11), the bank disclosed that he sold 300,000 shares over those two days &ndash 100,000 shares at S$41.7513 a share on Nov 7, and 200,000 shares at S$42.2023 a share the following day.
The two transactions netted Gupta S$12.6 million, and reduced his current holdings to 1.9 million DBS shares from 2.2 million shares before.
His transactions come as Singapore banking stocks rallied after consensus-beating performances for the third quarter of 2024. DBS, UOB and OCBC shares continued to rally on Monday, hitting new all-time highs at the close of trading.
DBS closed up 0.8 per cent or S$0.35 to S$42.75, OCBC closed up 1.6 per cent or S$0.26 to S$16.32, while UOB was the top gainer on the Straits Times Index, up 2.7 per cent or S$0.96 to S$36.65.

Mkt react NOT to his sale . ALL 3 banks drop ....did Helen n Wee sold their shares ( still drop ) Banks rose a lot in the past week and it is time for profit taking .....also due to the interest rate cut. As bank top excutive are given shares in their company ....there are few windows of time a year where they are allow to sell and black out period where they are not allow to sell their share. ( directors and MOB also have to inform SGX on their sales....which we see in SGX news) Their is certainly nothing to worry about when a CEO sold some shares ....with or wo the need for dividend is their own call ( anyway those dividend are peanuts to their over $10M sale ) Certainly DBS is still DBS after he sold his shares.

actually PG disposed off 300 k shares, i din read the full post. nwonder the mkt react negatively to his sales. 300k shares meaning he foregoes 162 K in dividend, perhaps, this is chickenfeed to him, but atm, dbs mkt cap just evaporates by 1.3B lol

Stock awards is the major renumeration for C-level execs. It' s common for them to schedule selling way in advance else it might be considered to be insider trading. Doesn' t mean he' s positive or negative about the price at point of selling.

on the one hand the ceo protrays that this is a dam solid company on the other hand. selling 100k shares at 41.7513 seriously. dunno what he is thinking about, n moreover div is coming xd on 14/11, and now can wait to sell, sigh..... |
