i have holdings in SQ, TSLA , CHGG and many more common stock that you call... just at the moment not keen to add those more, unless on dip, very limited bullets

 Alert Admin 		My Dear Buddies... pls do not play foot dragging, and wait and wait,, wait for low price,, and wait for best price,,the best time to buy.
I think u have hear top investor always said the best time to buy is 5 years ago, and the next best time is now,, we do not know what the morrow will bring,,
But one sure thing we know is that when the morrow come, the index will definitely going to much higher even correction after correction..
so do not wait for low price,,, best time and best price to get in...sometimes, they never come,,, so always buy some, 

Look at NVTA.. and several counters, so as usual l always been ask when and what px to buy?? 
Time and tide wont wait for you, so is wall st..
Stock at wall st..,,sometimes  they dont walk and they dont run,,, they fly..so pls do not wait...

It is like throwing dust against the wind and it blow back to your face,,
so always wish other well, so u too will end up even better aand your vestment will grow bountifully,,,

Thus i always wish all here,, May u all be well and happy always and propser and recovery well too..
and also have good obedient kids that excel in their studies,,, so be it..

I believe those who have bgt my 5 stocks would have at least profited handsomely, with  TSLA and SQ  soaring..
VEEV and VRTX  will do well,, just be pateint and  ILMN  is recovering, they are sold down  but their FA remanin unchange

For newbie to open US trading account, you may consider open Saxoinvestor or SaxotraderGo (CFD account). You can open the account online
to start trading, u need to deposit $ into the account first before you can trade. It can be opened in USD or SGD account. If u open as USD,
this mean when u  put SG$ into the account, Saxo will convert at the day xrate and it is very fast, within few minutes, the cash will be credited into your trading account to trade. If u choose to open as SGD, every trade transacted will be on the day itself xchange rate for the share u buy.
And min. trade transaction fee is USD4 + 0.28 gst = USD4.28. If you buy bigger amount, then the transaction fee increases. For sell transaction fee, it is a little higher with the additional exchange fee between 0.03 to 0.19 depending on the stock and the amount transacted.

For example 20 shares of SE bog @$148, buy transaction fee is US$4.28.
Sold @USD155, 20 shares, total sell transaction fee is    USD4 + 0.28 gst + 0.07 (exchange fee) = USD4.35

Hope the above sharing can give newbie with more option for US account opening.

anyway after I took some profit off PTON, it soared to 123... power stock cannot underestimate.
I also sold some SQ last month at 157 thinking it was a good run of 25% but then it never dipped much and marched towards 180+... only in US mkt, i dare to believe high can go even higher with strong and growth business... ok i think got chance it is time to acc more on my holding of SQ...

 Alert Admin 		Everyday u on the computer and log into your account and you see your stocks are not moving or worse the price keep dropping,,and going no where,,
how do u feel???Sad,, no mood to do anything, for the day..that is what i went thro,, we all are the same,, and now u have a portfolio in wall st that are doing well,,
it is a no brainer that u shd cut loser and add on to your winner at wall st..

I know u may lose some 20% or even 50%,, but if u stay what are your chance??? u see yr wall st are doing well,, u shd cut and sell those loser at SGX
and add on to your current counter like TSLA n SQ or whatever common shr u buy..

No point everyday u on your computer only to see those lousy stock that make u sad,,, move to wall st,, soon u will break even and eventually profit..
like many buddies here, u ask them,, a few have pm me recently saying they have make some money on top of recovering,, i feel happy for them,
move over to wall st,,, i want to be happy for you too,,, and those who read and in similar position,, pls make yr move fast.. dont procastinate,

Today was free, so i explore this sharejuntion. I rarely do this, when i come sharejution, i straight away head for my thread,
I see so many discussing those lousy not worth mention stock and they still have hope,, this is human nature always hope against hope 
for slow and stalk stock, I have sold some bank stock at SGX,, next will  st eng and comfort. last mth i sold  Keppac and ireit,
i deicded not to let however small amount of my money to be idle here,, small amount can become mountain at wall st..

after i sell st eng and comfort, i will be left with  ISDN  only.. Only HK stock i will keep some, now have another 2 to3 hundred k to vest.
i think i will buy more  NIO and PLUG.. 

NIO is a good long stock, dont miss it like some have miss  TSLA.. and  PLUG  is growing, didnt know hydrogen power cell are so solid,, just take
5 min to charge and are as good as those EV which need i hr to charge, but it disadvantage is transportation and storage, but this can to 
solve with time,,

 Alert Admin 		There is no way around the ?no amalgamation? for many platforms as that is part of their structure. Only thing we can do is move to platforms with cheaper commission (i.e. tiger brokers)

The minimum share for US is 1, i have never faced issues with large orders being unable to fill, unless you are trading extremely low volume counters or are inputing a price out of the range.

A) Yes, Poems can be used to trade US Market. First, you need to fill up the W-8BEN form. Can be filled up online via Poems (Under online forms tab in your account). You can use Yahoo Finance to see live price.
B) When buying US stock, at the order page you have the option to choose settlement currency either via SGD or USD. If you select SGD, they will automatically convert the buy amount for you (From SGD to USD).
If you want to manually convert, you can do so via Online forms tab.
C) Stock is kept with Philips custodian, not CDP.
D) Poems uses T+2, can sell anytime

I am a silent follower of your tread.So kind and good hearted of you to help so many followers here to make money in the US market.
I wish to trade the US market, but i do not know how and where to start,. Not tech savvy to search the internet.
By right I should ask my remisier. But I do not know him well and he is not the friendly type. All my trades in SG market are done on line
and no phone conversation at all. May I request for your help and may I ask the following doubts:

a.)  I am using Poems now. Can I use this platform? I saw the US market prices at delay prices.. How to get live prices?
b.)  US mkt trade in US dollars. Need to convert and how to?
c.)  After buying a stock, is the stock kept with Phillips custodian or where?
d.)  After buying a stock, how many days I have to wait to sell? If the stock went up, can I contra?

The democrat trying very hard for the past 4 years to bring down Trump, using all tactics, including but not limited to impreachment. And Trump survived all the odds.

Who knows, even Trump himself doesn' t not know that COVID-19 is the one which brings him to his knees, and subsequently lost the election.

Even Putin didn' t expect it.

That' s why it is all pre-destined. The democrats have spent so much time and resources trying to bring Trump down but one COVID event actually destroyed Trump and his allies.

A) Yes, Poems can be used to trade US Market. First, you need to fill up the W-8BEN form. Can be filled up online via Poems (Under online forms tab in your account). You can use Yahoo Finance to see live price.
B) When buying US stock, at the order page you have the option to choose settlement currency either via SGD or USD. If you select SGD, they will automatically convert the buy amount for you (From SGD to USD).
If you want to manually convert, you can do so via Online forms tab.
C) Stock is kept with Philips custodian, not CDP.
D) Poems uses T+2, can sell anytime

I am a silent follower of your tread.So kind and good hearted of you to help so many followers here to make money in the US market.
I wish to trade the US market, but i do not know how and where to start,. Not tech savvy to search the internet.
By right I should ask my remisier. But I do not know him well and he is not the friendly type. All my trades in SG market are done on line
and no phone conversation at all. May I request for your help and may I ask the following doubts:

a.)  I am using Poems now. Can I use this platform? I saw the US market prices at delay prices.. How to get live prices?
b.)  US mkt trade in US dollars. Need to convert and how to?
c.)  After buying a stock, is the stock kept with Phillips custodian or where?
d.)  After buying a stock, how many days I have to wait to sell? If the stock went up, can I contra?
