Yes can buy but at WHAT PRICE ? ( value ? ) Satellites n Optics are big ticket items that returns takes years to recover on this investment. Worst is the BIG one coming up in 5G for proper coverage ? This budget has to be spend in advance before any recovery in years to come. Iike u mentioned ...building it , testing , trials etc etc. Dyodd

XD is 26th JULY ....yes a long LONG way more n payout only in Aug 15th ( when result shld b out n most likely disappointing. ) I honestly doubt the dividend can cover the drop . 3.20 now ( drop 10.7c is v possible ) India listing is the only catalyst at this moment ( 5G is derail I guess w China USA issue a bigger worry then any ) Dyodd. |

60 satellites? whats the big deal? Do you know how many are in space? According to UNOOSA, in history a total of 8 378 objects have been launched into space. Currently, 4 994 are still in orbit &ndash although 7 of them are in orbit around celestial bodies other than the Earth meaning there are 4 987 satellites whizzing around above our heads every single day.Jan 16, 2019 |

SpaceX, as the name inplied, is in the space. It has nothing to do with Telco. Telco base stations are grounded on earth, not in the space. The players are changing business model to meet customer needs, nothing new and nothing to be alarmed. The national pie is the same, no telco is killed. |

Dont forget there is a big capex for 5G coming up 2020 or so ( $B term ) So Singtel do need a lot of cash n investment in this area. ( which CEO try to put off in Q& A) . If this is delayed due to recent action by Trump on Huawei etc.....then it is also neg for Singtel. Anyway......17.5 c for 2020 might still be possible/ or slight cut I hope.....but beyond that is v questionable unless a big turnaro in profit. Dyodd
