x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Factually wrong. The merger negotiation is between KC and Temasek Holding. Temasek, who owns 55% of SCM will ensure SCM shareholders get a good deal. After the merger terms are tabled, SCM shareholders, excluding Temasek, have to vote for it. Temasek have to abstain from voting because they are an interested party with 20% ownership in KC. By end of Q2, Cash balance should exceed $2 billion easily. In term of net profit, I am looking at $400-500 mil in H1 and $500-700 mil by year end as SCM starts to recognise revenue from the new projects. In 2020, there was nothing to indicate that a SCI/SCM demerger would be beneficial to SCM.  And it turned out that the demerger was bad for SCM In 2021, there was nothing to show that the 2nd RI was beneficial to SCM.  Many SCM SHs were angry abt the RI and they sold their SCM shares.  It turned out they were right So far, there is nothing to show that a KOM/SCM merger would be beneficial to SCM.  Only some die hard investors are applauding it without basis. It is taking longer than anticipated and that is a bad sign for SCM.  But it shd be finalised soon as SCM cant continue to bleed $80m to $100m a month. Does it want to do it when yard capacity is plentiful or scarce? The merger benefits Keppel and disadvantage to SM and cause Keppel share price to rocket like Semb Ind and SM share price to tank again 2nd time..?? I tot once bitten twice shy?

Strange leh.. u all so fast forgot what about during the Semb Ind and SM supposely privatisation??? So many of u SM supporters were so cheerful and praising SM and thought that SM going to be privatised by Semb Ind and that Semb Ind will offer good price for SM.  Then in the end kana back stabbed by SM for allowing Semb Ind to kick SM out thus benefitting Semb Ind shareholders and condemned SM shareholders to misery. So fast forget the painful experience liao? Still expected SM shareholders to benefit from this SM and Keppel merger?
