Wahliao, this what I worried all along. Sudden plunge like China Everbright. The most important question we need to ask , Is Temsick/GLP management jerking retailers around or toying with their potential   bidders? What would be the point of doing a partial acquisition/sale for either buyers or sellers? The panic selling is unsettling, izit an opportune time to buy more or cut ...  angry

Global Logistic Properties completes evaluation of proposals received in strategic review

SINGAPORE (Feb 27): Global Logistic Properties on Monday announced that its special committee has evaluated various non-binding proposals received in relation to the independent strategic review of options available for its business.

In a filing to SGX, GLP says these non-binding proposals may involve a possible acquisition of all, or some, of the shares of the company, which may or may not lead to an offer being made for the shares of the company.

The special committee is in discussions with several parties whom it has shortlisted and such parties will be invited to conduct due diligence on the company, it adds.

GLP stressed that all the terms of the proposals received, including price, are non-binding.

In addition, there is no certainty that any definitive transaction will materialise from, or that any offer will be made as a result of, any such proposals or the strategic review, and there is no certainty as to the terms of a transaction, if it does materialise.

GLP says it will make an appropriate announcement in the event of any material developments.

Shares of GLP closed 1 cent lower at $2.74 on Monday.

exactly what i was thinking. wanted to add some too when it dropped below 2.60 but hesitated and by then went up already.   will still key in order around 2.62 and pretty confident it will end close to yesterday' s close. i am still aiming at tp of 3.00

anyone here who has sold, could share with us who are the buying parties?

some sold probably they couldnt wait for the results or due to their margin of safety. however regardless of the outcome, GLP share price will be revalued to closer to its true value, and wont be back to the share price of last year.

GLP has announced some updates on its on-going strategic review. As noted in its announcement, the Special Committee has " evaluated various non-binding proposals received. Discussions with several parties whom it has shortlisted are now on-going. These parties will be invited to conduct due diligence on GLP.

What if it' s just a partial take-out?

While the wording in the announcement sounds pretty standard, we think it may be of investor interest at this point to highlight the potential scenario in which a full acquisition of GLP does not materialize, as noted in the announcement. GLP' s share price has rallied hard since media reports (e.g., Bloomberg on 2 Nov 2016) suggested that a take-over offer from interested parties may be in the cards. With concrete steps being taken by the Special committee to evaluate non-binding proposals, a corporate action of some sort still look like the most likely outcome. But, if a partial offer occurs (" some of the shares" ) instead of a full take-out, the final valuation could disappoint, as full take-out scenarios typically command a control premium.

Sum-of-the-parts valuation scenario

We have laid out a valuation scenario for investors to digest. GLP currently trades at c.1.02x P/BV (3Q17: NAV: US$1.90, NTA: US$1.81). Our previous estimate for its FUM business was pegged at a 12x earnings multiple, implying c.25ct per share. Assuming the recent take-out offer for ARA SP (not rated) at 20x implies a c.40ct per share value. This would bring a potential value of S$3.10 for GLP, or +13% higher than current share price. The stock has rallied c.48% in the past six months and c.71% since 2 Nov 2016.
